    摘要: A self-powered switching system using electromechanical generators generates power for activation of a latching relay. The electromechanical generators comprise electroactive elements or magnetic based microgenerators that may be mechanically actuated to generate electrical power. The associated signal generation circuitry may be coupled to a transmitter or transceiver for sending and/or receiving RF signals to/from a receiver which actuates the latching relay. Power may be stored within the circuit using rechargeable batteries for powering or supplementing power to the transmitter or transceiver.

    摘要: Vibrational energy introduced into plastic concrete structures, such as concrete slabs, decks and similar or related concrete structures, at or near the natural resonant frequency of the liquid concrete mass, expedites the consolidation and setting of the concrete. A vibrating apparatus imparts controlled vibrations either onto the surface or beneath the surface of the concrete mass in sequential stages, the frequency of vibrations generally increasing with each subsequent stage, corresponding to the increase in the natural resonant frequency of the progressively-narrowing liquid concrete at the top of the structure. The relatively more consolidated and more dry concrete (typically near the bottom of the slab) is substantially unaffected by the non-resonant frequencies vibrations. In one modification, sensors determine the resonant frequency of the liquid concrete mass during each pass of the vibrator apparatus, and the frequency of the vibrating member is automatically adjusted, accordingly. The number of stages, the amplitude of the vibrations, the physical orientation of the vibration-producing apparatus, the time duration in each stage, is variable depending upon the physical characteristics of the concrete mass.

    摘要: A self-powered switching system using electromechanical generators generates power for activation of a latching relay, switch, solenoid or latch pin. The electromechanical generators comprise electroactive elements that may be mechanically actuated to generate electrical power. The associated signal generation circuitry may be coupled to a transmitter for sending RF signals to a receiver which actuates the latching relay. The use of mechanically activated membrane switches on the deflector or on a keypad allows multiple code sequences to be generated for activating electrical appliances. The system also uses a communications protocol allowing the receivers to respond to signals from transmitters and/or repeaters. The use of one or more repeaters also increases the reliability of the system as well as extending its effective transmission range. The receivers use low DC voltage (which may be stepped down from the high switched voltage) to generate switching signals to control a low voltage controller for control of high or low voltage switching relays.

The diaphragm members may include a prestressed piezoelectric element which is durable, inexpensive and lightweight as compared with diaphragm members of prior diaphragm pumps of comparable discharge capacity, and is actuated via electrical signals from an outside power source. Each pair of piezoelectric diaphragm members is actuated out of phase with the other(s) so as to allow fluid to be pumped through the flexible hose member peristaltically.

    摘要: A piezoelectrically actuated fluid pump including a pump housing, a pump chamber, inlet and outlet ports for communicating the pump chamber with the exterior of the pump housing, valving means for opening and closing the ports, two pre-stressed piezoelectric diaphragm members which are self-actuated, and energizing means is provided. The diaphragm members include a prestressed piezoelectric element which is durable, inexpensive and lightweight as compared with diaphragm members of prior diaphragm pumps of comparable discharge capacity, and is actuated via electrical signals from an outside power source. No exterior mechanical means for driving the diaphragm members is necessary. A modification is disclosed in which a central computer independently controls the phase angle of oscillation of the two diaphragm members, providing precise flow rate control.
