摘要: A controller is configured to use an energy cost function to predict a total cost of energy purchased from an energy provider as a function of one or more setpoints provided by the controller. The energy cost function includes a demand charge term defining a cost per unit of power corresponding to a maximum power usage of the building system. The controller is configured to linearize the demand charge term by imposing demand charge constraints and to mask each of the demand charge constraints that applies to an inactive pricing period. The controller is configured to determine optimal values of the one or more setpoints by performing an optimization procedure that minimizes the total cost of energy subject to the demand charge constraints and to provide the optimal values of the one or more setpoints to equipment of the building system that operate to affect the maximum power usage.

摘要: A method includes presenting a set location setting within a graphical user interface (GUI) of a mobile device, and then detecting a selection of the set-location setting. The method proceeds by detecting at least one on-site network in communication with the mobile device in response to the selection of the set location setting, identifying a network name associated with the at least one on-site network, and associating the network name of the on-site network with an on-site zone of a site associated with the mobile device. The method then proceeds by altering an operating condition of a network device located at the site in response to a location of the mobile device relative to the on-site zone.

摘要: Automation systems, methods, and mediums. A method includes identifying a first amount of energy consumed by a plurality of devices in a building during a first period of time while a first device in the plurality of devices is in a first state to form a first baseline. The method includes identifying a second amount of energy consumed by the plurality of devices during a second period of time while the first device is in a second state. Additionally, the method includes generating an estimated energy consumption of the first device based on a difference between the first baseline and the second amount of energy consumed.

摘要: A controller for a building management system is configured to analyze faults in the building management system. The controller detects a fault in the building management system by evaluating data of building management system using a system of rules. The controller determines a conditional probability for each of a plurality of possible fault causes given the detected fault. The controller determines the most likely fault cause by comparing the determined probabilities and electronically reports the most likely fault cause.

摘要: A system for calculating total lifecycle costs for a building energy management system includes lifecycle costs for a grid-scale battery system. The system includes a battery lifecycle optimizer configured to provide an optimal battery configuration for a building and a building energy system controller. The building energy system controller receives optimum battery configuration information, information relating to the heat ventilation air conditioning system of the building, intrinsic thermodynamic properties of the building, energy tariff schedules and weather forecast data to forecast a monthly peak demand profile. A simulation is run using a battery model, system model along with tariff and weather information to produce an hourly building energy management plan for minimizing overall energy costs with consideration of system lifecycle costs.

摘要: A central plant that generates and provides resources to a building. The central plant includes an electrical energy storage subplant configured to store electrical energy purchased from a utility and to discharge the stored electrical energy. The central plant includes a plurality of generator subplants that consume one or more input resources. The central plant includes a controller configured to determine, for each time step within a time horizon, an optimal allocation of the input resources and the output resources for each of the subplants in order to optimize a total monetary value of operating the central plant over the time horizon. The total monetary value includes revenue from participating in incentive-based demand response programs as well as costs associated with resource consumption, equipment degradation, and losses in battery capacity.

摘要: Systems and methods for automated fault detection in a building management system are shown and described. The systems and methods further involve organizing the data set into bins, each bin containing a plurality of the observed points for the variable of the building management system. The systems and methods further involve calculating, for each bin, a target parameter and an estimator of scale for the observed points. The systems and methods further involve detecting, for each bin, an outlier of the building management system by comparing a data point of the bin to the calculated target parameter and estimator of scale for the bin.
