摘要: An anastomosis device (12) for advantageously bridging an artery and a vein. The anastomosis device includes a tubular graft (15) with first and second ends (47 and 48) and a longitudinal passageway extending longitudinally through the graft. The device further includes a first stent (10) disposed about the first end of the tubular graft and a second stent (10) disposed about the second end of the tubular graft. Each of the first and second stents has a plurality of hooks or barbs (11) pointed or releasable to the point toward the other end of the graft.

摘要: A medical device is adapted for at least partial implantation into a body and includes first and second sections along the length of the device. A first therapeutic agent is associated with the first section and a second therapeutic agent is associated with the second section. The first therapeutic agent can be one or more antiproliferative, such as paclitaxel, a paclitaxel derivative, or a paclitaxel pro-drug, anti-coagulant, antithrombotic, thrombolytic, fibrinolytic, or combination thereof. The second therapeutic agent can be one or more antimicrobials, such as one or more antibiotics. Each of the first and second therapeutic agents can either be posited on one or more surfaces of the respective section, or impregnated within the section. The device can include a separator to space the first and second sections. A method of making a medical device and a method of establishing access to a vessel within a body are also provided.

摘要: A clamp for use in joining two vessels in end-to-end anastomosis. The clamp comprises a clamp body comprising opposing clamp members joined by a hinge. The clamp members are pivotable along the hinge to selectively maneuver the clamp between an open position and a closed position. Each of the opposing clamp members includes an opening sized for axial passage of at least a portion of a separate one of the vessels therethrough. The clamp body includes a closing mechanism for sealing the clamp when the clamp members are pivoted to the closed position, whereupon the vessels are aligned to establish fluid communication therebetween.

摘要: Stents are provided having a circumferential element with first and second ends, a longitudinal axis, and arcuate struts disposed intermediate the ends. End portions of adjacent arcuate struts are joined by strut connections formed at the first and second ends. The struts are spaced arcuately relative to a plane that includes the longitudinal axis, such that they arc convexly or concavely relative to the plane. Another stent has a tubular main body with a longitudinal axis, first and second ends defining a lumen in communication with openings at the first and second ends, and circumferential elements disposed along the tubular main body longitudinal axis, whereby one or more link members join two or more of the circumferential elements. Methods of using a stent having a circumferential element having arcuate struts connected by strut connections are also provided.

摘要: A system for providing an end-to-end anastomosis connection between two vessels. The system comprises first and second hollow tubes. Each of the tubes has a first end that is attachable to a free end of a separate one of the two vessels, and a second end that comprises a connector. The respective connectors are sized and shaped for engagement to each other, such that a fluid-tight connection can be established therebetween.

摘要: An apparatus for joining two vessels in end-to-end anastomosis comprises a hollow tubular conduit having two ends, and a pair of opposing locking sleeves disposed along an outer surface of the conduit and at least partially moveable thereover. At least one of the conduit ends may include a grasping member, such as a barbed ring, adjacent the end. Each of the locking members has an inner diameter related to the outer diameter of a respective conduit end such that a vessel positionable between said locking member and said conduit end is substantially locked thereby, to inhibit disengagement of said vessel end from said apparatus.

摘要: A multiple-sided valve for implantation within a body vessel comprising a frame comprising a bioabsorbable material is provided. The devices can be pushed from a delivery catheter into the lumen of a duct or vessel and may include one or more barbs for anchoring purposes. A full or partial covering of fabric or other flexible material, or a bioabsorbable material, including a collagen-based material such as small intestinal submucosa (SIS), may be attached to the frame to form an occlusion device, a graft, or an implantable, intraluminal valve such as for correcting incompetent veins in the lower legs and feet.
