摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus, and more particularly, to a plasma display apparatus for representing gray levels and image processing method thereof. According to the present invention, the plasma display apparatus includes an object division unit for detecting an edge from a received m-bit image signal and dividing an object surrounded by the edge, and an image signal conversion unit for dividing between-gray levels of pixels constituting the divided object and converting the m-bit image signal into a n-bit image signal (where n is a natural number greater than m). By finely dividing between-gray levels allocated to pixels corresponding to a divided object, the gray linearity can be secured.

摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus, and more particularly, to a plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof, which is capable of preventing damage of a driving circuit. The plasma display apparatus according to the present invention includes a pattern recognition unit for recognizing an alternate pattern in which no less than a predetermined number of cells on the Nth line are turned on and no less than a predetermined number of cells on the N+1th line are turned off depending on an image signal input from the exterior; a sub-field mapping unit for mapping the image signal by the sub-field unit to a corresponding sub-field; and a controller for controlling a predetermined number of sub-fields among the whole sub-fields during one frame to be used when the pattern recognition unit recognizes the alternate pattern. In a plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof according to the present invention, a predetermined number of sub-fields among the whole sub-fields are controlled to be used during one frame when an alternate pattern is recognized so that a generated peak current is reduced, thereby preventing damage of a sustain and a scan driving units.

摘要: A dithering method and apparatus for a liquid crystal display is provided, wherein dithering with frame rate control and dithering without frame rate control can be selectively performed in accordance with the pattern characteristics of the input data to prevent the picture quality deterioration which can result from FRC dithering video data representing specific patterns. The pattern characteristic of the input video data is determined by a phase difference comparison between adjacent video data. A first dithering process is performed on the video data if pattern characteristic of the video data is determined to be a specific pattern, and a second dithering process utilizing a frame rate control is performed on the video data if the pattern characteristic is determined to be a general pattern.

摘要: A probe card has probe sections with silicon probes formed on an insulated circuit board that are connected by an adhesive on the supporting structures. The supporting structures are supported by fixing structures with each of the fixing structures being fixed on the circuit board. The probe card has the probe section's wiring and the circuit board's wiring being electrically connected by a metallic wiring and the sub printed circuit and the pogo pin electrically connected by an anisotropic conducting film with the sub printed circuit board and the pogo pin. A metallic layer is formed by the plating of the probe in the probe section. This reduces the manufacturing costs by enabling the damaged probes during manufacturing to be discarded and the others being used continually.

摘要: A method and apparatus for processing a video signal in a plasma display panel wherein pseudo contour noise can be eliminated without any loss of gray level. In the method, pseudo contour noise of an image to be displayed on the panel is forecasted. Then, an equalizing pulse having any one gray level of a first gray level higher than a gray level to be supplied and a second gray level lower than a gray level to be supplied are applied in order to eliminate said forecasted pseudo contour noise.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a process for preparing an antimicrobial elastic fiber. The process comprises: mixing a glass compound, as an antimicrobial agent, containing ZnO, SiO2, and an alkali metal oxide, and having an average particle size of 0.1 μm to 5 μm, with a dispersant; sand grinding or milling the mixture; and adding the ground or milled mixture to a solution of a segmented polyurethane polymer to prepare an elastic yarn. The process can provide advantageous effects that spinnability is improved and the color of yarn remains unchanged.
