A metallic layer is formed by the plating of the probe in the probe section. This reduces the manufacturing costs by enabling the damaged probes during manufacturing to be discarded and the others being used continually.

The plasma display apparatus according to the present invention includes a pattern recognition unit for recognizing an alternate pattern in which no less than a predetermined number of cells on the Nth line are turned on and no less than a predetermined number of cells on the N+1th line are turned off depending on an image signal input from the exterior; a sub-field mapping unit for mapping the image signal by the sub-field unit to a corresponding sub-field; and a controller for controlling a predetermined number of sub-fields among the whole sub-fields during one frame to be used when the pattern recognition unit recognizes the alternate pattern. A dithering method and apparatus for a liquid crystal display is provided, wherein dithering with frame rate control and dithering without frame rate control can be selectively performed in accordance with the pattern characteristics of the input data to prevent the picture quality deterioration which can result from FRC dithering video data representing specific patterns. The pattern characteristic of the input video data is determined by a phase difference comparison between adjacent video data. A first dithering process is performed on the video data if pattern characteristic of the video data is determined to be a specific pattern, and a second dithering process utilizing a frame rate control is performed on the video data if the pattern characteristic is determined to be a general pattern.

In the method, pseudo contour noise of an image to be displayed on the panel is forecasted. Disclosed herein is a process for preparing an antimicrobial elastic fiber. The process comprises: mixing a glass compound, as an antimicrobial agent, containing ZnO, SiO2, and an alkali metal oxide, and having an average particle size of 0.1 μm to 5 μm, with a dispersant; sand grinding or milling the mixture; and adding the ground or milled mixture to a solution of a segmented polyurethane polymer to prepare an elastic yarn. The process can provide advantageous effects that spinnability is improved and the color of yarn remains unchanged.
