摘要： A broadband wireless communication system supporting a frequency overlay scheme is provided. An operating method of a base station includes allocating relative addresses to Resource Blocks in at least one operating Frequency Assignment (FA) of a terminal according to an addressing scheme for the terminal; generating at least one resource indicator represented with the relative addresses; generating resource allocation information which comprises the at least one resource indicator; and transmitting the resource allocation information through a primary FA of the terminal.

摘要： A broadband wireless communication system supporting a frequency overlay scheme is provided. 摘要： A method and apparatus for using a guard band as a data subcarrier in a communication system supporting frequency overlay are provided. In a method of operating mobile station for using a guard band as a subcarrier for signal transmission in a communication system supporting frequency overlay, the method includes searching for a first center frequency located at a position corresponding to an integer multiple of a subcarrier spacing, after searching for the first center frequency, receiving information indicating the numbers n1 and n2 of first additional subcarriers, and performing a first network entry process by using all subcarriers including the first additional subcarriers.

The method also includes determining whether to hand over to the small cell by taking into account the movement speed of the MS. When it is determined not to hand over to the small cell, that MS transmits small cell penetration information to a macro Base Station (BS); allocates a macro only resource from the macro BS; and communicates with the macro BS in the small cell using the macro only resource allocated from the macro BS.

The method includes receiving paging information used to determine a location of a paging listening interval in an idle mode, determining whether multiple pagings are applied, using a maximum paging number field contained in the paging information, determining locations of a plurality of paging listening intervals in a paging cycle using a paging spacing value and an initial paging offset contained in the paging information, and determining whether the terminal is paged in each of the paging listening intervals.

摘要： A communication method in a mobile communication system in which an access terminal transmits to an access network DRC information indicating a selected one of forward data rates requested by the access terminal is provided.
