A paging method, an Mobile Management Entity (MME) and a terminal are provided, which relate to the field of communication technology, to reduce signaling overheard of the terminal and prevent the transmission of downlink data from being delayed. The paging method includes steps of: receiving downlink data for a target terminal; and in the case that the target terminal is in an idle state, adopts an extended DRX period and is capable of receiving a paging message, initiating a paging request to the target terminal based on the downlink data.

A method and device for transmitting Internet Protocol (IP) data packet are disclosed by the present invention, the method comprising: an Access Point (AP) device obtains an IP data packet needing to be sent to an User Equipment (UE); said AP device use the type information of said IP data packet to determine the corresponding Data Radio Bearer (DBR) of said IP data packet; Said AP device sends said IP data packet to said UE through said DBR; in the embodiments of the present invention, when the AP device accesses the IP network locally or directly through the IP network, the Quality of Service (QoS) insurance of IP data packet in the air interface transmission is implemented, on the basis of the direct mapping between the type information and the data radio bearer.

The present application relates to mobile communication technical field, and a method for optimizing activation/deactivation Idle State signaling Reduction (ISR) and a network side device are disclosed. The method includes: during a process of updating User Element (UE) area, a first network entity, when receiving a context request message transmitted from a second entity, determines to activate or deactivate ISR, according to a mobile-reachable timer or an implicit detach timer corresponding to said UE, or operation states of the mobile-reachable timer and the implicit detach timer; and the first network entity transmits the determination result to the second network entity, said second network entity determines to instruct the UE to activate or deactivate the ISR according to the received determination result. The application optimizes the existing procedure for the activating/deactivating of the ISR, enables the ISR processing at the network side and the UE side to be consistent in height, and thus avoiding unnecessary signaling expense.
