摘要: The present technology is directed to providing a 3-D visualization of a Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern based on telemetry data. The present technology can receive telemetry data for a Wi-Fi access point located at a location of a building plan in a Wi-Fi visualization system, store the telemetry data with a timestamp, determine a change in a Wi-Fi coverage for the Wi-Fi access point based on the telemetry data, and present a visualization illustrating the change in the Wi-Fi coverage for the Wi-Fi access point. The present technology can further present an animation of the change in the Wi-Fi coverage for the Wi-Fi access point based on the stored telemetry data.

摘要: The present technology is directed to visualizing a Wi-Fi access point (AP) signal propagation pattern through multiple floors. The present technology can execute a Wi-Fi signal propagation model corresponding to a first AP on a first floor of a building plan and a second AP on a second floor of the building plan. The Wi-Fi signal propagation model calculates a Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern for a plurality of APs including the first AP and the second AP. The present technology can further present a visualization of the Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern for the plurality of APs, wherein the Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern for the first AP on the first floor of the building plan projects onto the second floor of the building plan.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to 3-D visualization of wireless signal propagation representing wireless signal strength and interference in 3-D space. The present technology can identify a plurality of access points (APs) in the 3-D space, determine a wireless signal strength for each of the plurality of APs, and determine an interference with the wireless signal strength of each of the plurality of APs, wherein the interference is caused by a neighboring AP of the plurality of APs in the 3-D space. The present technology can further present a 3-D visualization of a wireless signal propagation pattern representing the wireless signal strength from each of the plurality of APs in the 3-D space and the interference from the neighboring AP.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods that enable automatic provisioning of access points within an enterprise network by a controller of the enterprise network. In one aspect, a method includes detecting, at a network controller, attachment of a first access point to a network; identifying, by the network controller, a profile of a second access point, the second access point having being replaced with the first access point, the profile including at least one of identification parameters and configuration parameters of the second access point; and provisioning, by the network controller, the first access point with the profile of the second access point.

摘要: In one embodiment, a device identifies a path of travel of a mobile system. The device subdivides the path of travel into a plurality of zones. The device generates time-slotted channel hopping schedules for the plurality of zones, each time-slotted channel hopping schedule having an associated zone among the plurality of zones. The device causes the mobile system to communicate wirelessly with networking infrastructure located along the path of travel, in accordance with a particular one of the time-slotted channel hopping schedules while the mobile system is located in its associated zone.

摘要: The present technology includes calculating the 3-D RF propagation pattern in a space for at least one Wi-Fi access point and displaying a visualization of the RF propagation pattern in augmented reality (AR). The augmented reality view of the space can be created by capturing at least one image of the space and displaying at least one image of the space on a display with the visualization of the Wi-Fi access point RF propagation pattern on the display overlaid at least one image of the space. The disclosed technology further can calculate the RF propagation properties and render a visualization of the RF propagation patterns in a 3D space by utilizing hardware on a user device. The AR display is useful in visualizing, in-person aspects of a Wi-Fi network and coverage, and can be used in troubleshooting, maintenance, and simulations of equipment variations.

摘要: In one embodiment, a mobile system scans wireless channels for any upcoming access points using a dedicated monitor radio of the mobile system. The mobile system identifies a particular wireless channel in use by an upcoming access point. The mobile system notifies a second radio of the mobile system of the particular wireless channel. The mobile system performs a handoff between a current access point and the upcoming access point in part by switching the second radio of the mobile system to the particular wireless channel of the upcoming access point.

摘要: A method is provided in a wireless local area network controller in a wireless communication network. The wireless communication network includes one or more virtual networks identified with virtual network IDs, VNIDs. A request is received from a wireless client to onboard onto the network and the wireless client is mapped to an onboarding VNID. The onboarding VNID is associated with an onboarding virtual network that does not require an authentication of the wireless client. An Internet Protocol address assignment is forwarded to the wireless client. The wireless client is remapped from the onboarding VNID to the destination VNID after authenticating the wireless client. The wireless client maintains the assigned IP address after moving from the onboarding VNID to the destination VNID. Access to the wireless client on a virtual network identified by the destination VNID is provided via the assigned IP address.
