摘要: This application describes methods, systems, and apparatus for allowing a user to easily determine whether the user and/or other user(s) have viewed content. For example, a program guide may display one or more graphics associated with the content (e.g., a movie poster), and in response to determining whether the user has viewed the content, the program guide may include an indication of whether the user has viewed the content. The program guide may include indications associated with multiple users (e.g., different colors, icons, graphics, or text). The program guide may filter the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., only display content the user has not viewed). A computing device storing the content may manage recording of the content based on whether the user has viewed the content (e.g., delete the recording if the user has viewed the content). A viewing history of the user may be maintained.

An image or data capture device associated with a display device may capture an image of a space associated with the user or capture data related to other objects in the space. The viewing distance between the user and the display area (e.g., the display device) may be monitored and processed to determine and/or adjust the image resource allocation for content displayed within the display area. Prioritization data associated with the content may be used to determine and/or adjust the image resource allocation for content displayed within the display area.

摘要: Methods and systems are disclosed for leveraging user premises supplied electric power to power active components in an information delivery network. In response to one or more conditions, an active component may switch an input power path from using grid-supplied or battery power to draw power from a user premises. The decision to switch the power path may be based on a number of conditions, for example, whether power is available from the grid, the relative cost of power from the user premises and whether the power from the user premises includes power from a renewable source.

The systems and methods also include searching a central repository based on the characteristic to determine a candidate match associated with the object, the candidate match being associated with a preference, the preference comprising display instructions for the image; and modifying the image based on the display instructions for the image.

摘要: Provided are methods and systems for displaying content. A plurality of preferred content items can be displayed on one or more display devices according to user preference and content attributes. In an aspect, an example method can comprise receiving preference information from a plurality of sources in a common location. A highest ranked preferred content item can be determined. At least one display parameter (e.g., size, shape, resolution, color, spatial coordinates, positions, etc.) for the highest ranked preferred content item can be determined. One or more of the plurality of content items including the preferred content item can be provided and displayed on the one or more display devices according to the determined at least one display parameter, for example, where the highest ranked preferred content item has the largest portion of the display.

In some embodiments, a computing device may generate a geographical coverage map comprising a plurality of wireless access nodes respectively at a plurality of geographic locations and a wireless coverage range for each wireless access node. The computing device may receive from at least one wireless access node of the plurality of wireless access nodes an indication that the at least one wireless access node detected a first wireless access node of the plurality of wireless access nodes. The computing device may refine a first coverage range of the first wireless access node based on a respective geographic location of the at least one wireless access node. In some embodiments, a first wireless access node may receive and forward join emergency mesh (JEM) messages to establish a wireless network.

Some content may be cropped or edited for general transmission, and a primary- or second-screen device may be used to receive and view additional views or portions of content that may otherwise be unavailable. For example, if a cropped portion of content is delivered to a device, a different device may be used to view at least a portion of the content that was removed during the cropping process. Another aspect may include providing a higher-resolution version of content to a second-screen device.
