    摘要: Glass compositions comprising 15-50 wt. % SiO2, 25-60 wt. % CaO, 3-30 wt. % P2O5, 0.5-15 wt. % ZrO2, and >0-5 wt. % F, wherein, when subjected to artificial saliva, the glass composition forms a bioactive crystalline phase, such as apatite. A matrix comprising the glass composition, wherein the glass composition is attached to the matrix or mixed therein, in which the matrix includes at least one of: a toothpaste, mouthwash, gel, varnish, rinse, spray, ointment, salve, cream, bandage, polymer film, oral formulation, pill, capsule, or transdermal formulation. The matrix may be a dentifrice composition. A method comprising applying the matrix to a tooth, in which the method remineralizes enamel of the tooth, treats caries of the tooth, treats dentin hypersensitivity of the tooth, or any combination thereof.

    摘要: A glass composition includes: greater than or equal to 56 mol % to less than or equal to 70 mol % SiO2; greater than or equal to 12 mol % to less than or equal to 20 mol % Al2O3; greater than or equal to 0 mol % to less than or equal to 4 mol % P2O5; greater than or equal to 0 mol % to less than or equal to 8 mol % B2O3; greater than or equal to 6 mol % to less than or equal to 12 mol % Li2O; greater than or equal to 4 mol % to less than or equal to 12 mol % Na2O; greater than or equal to 0.4 mol % to less than or equal to 3 mol % K2O; greater than or equal to 2 mol % to less than or equal to 6 mol % MgO; greater than or equal to 0.25 mol % to less than or equal to 6 mol % CaO; greater than or equal to 0 mol % to less than or equal to 3 mol % SrO; greater than or equal to 0 mol % to less than or equal to 5 mol % ZnO; and greater than or equal to 0 mol % to less than or equal to 1 mol % ZrO2. The glass composition may have a fracture toughness of greater than or equal 0.75 MPa·m0.5 and a Young's modulus of greater than or equal to 80 GPa. The glass composition is chemically strengthenable. The glass composition may be used in a glass-based article or a consumer electronic product.
