摘要:
A system and a method are configured to program, track and/or monitor infusion data (such as proper medication, dosage information, drug identification, patient identification, and/or other information believed to be relevant) for a drug infusion system. An electronic data tag, such as a radio frequency identification device (“RFID”) tag, may be coupled to one or more components of the infusion system, such as a medication container or infusion set.
摘要:
The systems, methods and articles described herein are directed to at least one pressure sensor along a downstream fluid line which senses fluid pressure and assists an occlusion detection feature in determining the presence of occlusions in the downstream fluid line. In addition, the system can dynamically adapt the occlusion detection feature based on a delivery of fluid, such as a bolus, in order to prevent the system from creating a false alarm regarding an occlusion of the downstream fluid line.
摘要:
The current subject matter describes a delivery of medication to a patient based on a scan of a medication container by a scanner implemented on an infusion system. The medication can include oral medications, injection medications, patches, and/or medication drops. The scanner can scan a machine-readable representation (for example, a barcode) on the medication container to obtain recommended delivery data. A user interface device of the infusion system can display the recommended delivery data on a graphical user interface. Based on the recommended delivery data and based on a patient diagnosis by a clinician, the clinician can determine actual delivery data. Based on the determined actual delivery data, the medication can be delivered to the patient via a non-infusion channel. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
摘要:
The subject matter described herein relates to a provision of rapid access to one or more medications relevant for treating a patient-related code event of a patient. A user interface device can concurrently display medications available in a hospital and a code medications button. When the user interface device receives a clinician-generated input characterizing a selection/click of the code medications button, the user interface device can display a set of medications generally used to treat the patient-related code event, such as cardiac arrest. Related apparatus, methods, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
摘要:
Infusion channel identifiers are generated and used that identify infusion channels transporting medication from an infusion pump to a patient. The infusion pump includes a user interface device, a controller, and at least one infusion device. At a first user interface of the user interface device, data associated with an infusion channel is received. Based on the data, the controller generates an infusion channel identifier identifying the infusion channel. On the first user interface, the infusion channel identifier is displayed. At a second user interface of the user interface device, the infusion channel identifier, a beginning time of a desired provision of the medication to the patient, and a time duration of the desired provision is received. The controller actuates the infusion device and the infusion channel at the beginning time for the time duration. The infusion device delivers, via the infusion channel, the medication to the patient.

A patient care system is configured for infusing fluid to a patient. The system includes a plurality of fluid infusion pumps, each of which is connected to a respective fluid supply for pumping the contents of a fluid supply to a patient via fluid supply lines. The system includes a pressure sensor downstream of the fluid infusion pumps for determining if a particular fluid is connected to a designated infusion pump.

Systems and methods are adapted for ensuring that the sound level of an audible signal, or audio alert, generated by a bedside medical device is appropriate to a hospital environment in which the device is operating. The disclosed systems and methods increase the likelihood that a device annunciates alerts at an audio level that is perceivable by a clinician while minimizing the nuisance to the patient.
