    摘要: Disclosed are nanostructures having nanoprisms and agents, such as diagnostic and/or therapeutic agents. Nanoprisms with a surface plasmon resonance in the near-infrared convert irradiation, such as from a laser into heat selectively to allow the dissociation, such as dehybridization of oligonucleotide duplexes, of agents associated with the nanoprism surface. These nanostructures show morphological, chemical, and functional stability under hours of irradiation. Further disclosed are methods of selectively releasing agents from nanostructures after directed surface plasmon resonance mediated heating of the nanoprisms. Released agents, such as oligonucleotides, are unharmed by this process and can be repeatedly released and sequestered under spatiotemporal control.

    摘要: An aerial camera system including a plurality of main reels, a camera interface/safety reel and a stabilized camera head. The camera head is supported from main cables from the main reels with a safety reel cable providing power, data and video communication between the camera head and a main computer system. Each of the main reels, the camera interface/safety reel and the camera head are in communication with the main computer system, which controls the feeding and reeling in of the main cables. Further, the computer system controls the feeding and reeling in of the safety reel cable, which typically only follows the camera head as it moves in three-dimensional space, but may in emergency mode support the weight of the camera head and be used to slowly pull the camera head up and out of the way so that it does not interfere with any activity below the flight area. The aerial camera system may also include a level wind assembly that keeps the cables wound on the drum of the main reels and/or the safety reel in a controlled and consistent manner. Furthermore, the camera head of the aerial camera system may use a rotating gimbal assembly with computer controlled leveling motors for keeping the camera head level as the gimbal assembly moves.

    摘要: Methods and systems for managing communication between a key fob and a host device are provided. In one implementation, the system includes a key fob configured to operate in accordance with one of a plurality of modes, including an automatic mode and a manual mode. The system further includes a host device associated with the key fob, wherein responsive to the key fob operating in accordance with the automatic mode, the key fob is configured to page periodically, and the host device is configured to page-scan periodically to detect a page from the key fob. In one implementation, the key fob further includes a controller configured to dynamically adjust a signal strength of a communication signal between the key fob and the host device in accordance with a mode of operation selected (or desired) by the user.
