摘要： Disclosed is a laser diode having a PCB type lead frame. In the laser diode, a luminous element functions to emit a laser beam. A frame unit has an upper section mounted with the luminous element and functions to radiate heat generated during creation of the laser beam. A housing has an internal space for receiving the frame unit and an exit hole communicating with the internal space for allowing the laser beam to pass through the same. A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) has a plurality of pattern electrodes formed on an upper face of the PCB, the pattern electrodes being electrically connected with the luminous element. The semiconductor laser diode of the invention has a simple structure to facilitate an assembling process, improve productivity, save manufacturing cost and increase radiating surface area thereby improving heat radiation characteristics. The invention can further prevent a finger of a worker from direct contact with a luminous element when a worker handles components in an assembly line so that precision components are not polluted or damaged.

摘要： An apparatus and method for searching for a protein active site by using a bottom-hat transformation are provided. First, an image of protein surface is generated and then a volumetric image is generated by sampling the protein surface in units of a predetermined length. Thereafter a morphology process is performed on the volumetric image, thereby extracting the protein active site from the morphology-processed volumetric image. Accordingly, it is possible to rapidly search for a protein active site in a 3D structural space.

The apparatus includes a database which stores information on a plurality of reference active sites, a comparing unit which calculates 3D structural similarities according to the number of overlapping residues, with respect to an input active site and the stored reference active site, and a search unit which searches the reference active site with respect to the input active site according to the similarities. Accordingly, similar active sites can be searched with a low computational complexity, thereby be used for a correct new drug design.

Accordingly, the emission tip can be exactly and stably positioned using only the movable piezoelectric elements.

The wafer-scale microcolumn array using the LTCC substrate makes it possible to significantly increase the throughput of semiconductor wafers, simplify its manufacturing process, and lower its production cost.
