摘要: Definition of a combined bandwidth is disclosed. Bandwidths for components of a combined bandwidth can be defined by selecting configurations for the bandwidths from a group of available bandwidth configurations. The bandwidths are combined to define a contiguously combined bandwidth in a resource block unit. At least one set of coefficients corresponding to the available bandwidth configurations are used. The contiguously combined bandwidth shall not exceeds a predefined maximum bandwidth. A transmission bandwidth can be defined. A channel bandwidth can be defined based on the defined transmission bandwidth.

摘要: A method and apparatus for re-interpreting channel state information are provided, which relate generally to wireless communications, and more specifically are directed toward the use of channel state information/channel quality indications in a wireless network. The apparatus includes at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the apparatus to perform at least the following: receive from a user equipment correspondence information that relates channel states of a first set to channel states of a second set (302); receive from the user equipment an indication of at least one channel state of the first set which was measured on a downlink (304); use the received indication of at least one channel state of the first set and the received correspondence information to determine a channel state from the second set (306); and adapt a transmission on a downlink channel for the user equipment using the determined channel state (308).

Such measures exemplarily include setting of a transmission mode for reference signal transmission on a carrier out of at least a long-cycle discontinuous transmission mode and a short-cycle discontinuous transmission mode, said long-cycle discontinuous transmission mode having a longer transmission discontinuity period than the short-cycle discontinuous transmission mode, and configuration of a transmission of at least one reference signal on the carrier according to the set transmission mode. The transmission mode setting may for example be based on at least one of an activation state of the carrier as serving cell and/or secondary cell and/or measurement object cell and a period of radio resource management measurement on the carrier.

A station can include into a scheduling information entity an indication of aperiodic feedback messaging on a physical uplink control channel and dynamically send the scheduling information entity with the indication to a communication device configured for periodic feedback messaging to trigger aperiodic feedback messaging by the communication device on the physical uplink control channel. Upon receiving the scheduling information entity the device can determine that it includes the indication and in response to the determining send at least one aperiodic feedback message on the physical uplink control channel.
