摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support beam failure determination based on a dynamic range of transmission power ratios between two reference signals (e.g., between a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)). A wireless device may identify the dynamic range of transmission power ratios that may be used by a base station (e.g., via indications of maximum and minimum transmission power ratios, indications of one or more offsets from some average transmission power ratio, etc. sent from the base station). The wireless device may use the identified dynamic range of transmission power ratios, along with a CSI-RS measurement, to determine a range of hypothetical block error rates (BLERs). Values within the range of hypothetical BLERs may be compared to a threshold in order to determine a beam failure status (e.g., a beam failure).

摘要: Wireless communication that includes transmission, reception, and configuration of a CSIRS with a configurable band-width is discussed. A base station/gNB may determine a number of antenna ports to be used for wireless communication. The base station/gNB may allocate a first plurality of frequency resources for the transmission of the CSIRS based on the determined number of antenna ports, and may transmit the CSIRS over the first plurality of frequency resources. A mobile device may receive the CSIRS over the first plurality of frequency resources and estimate at least one of channel quality and interference associated with the first plurality of frequency resources based on the received CSIRS.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In multi-user (MU) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communications systems, a base station may perform signaling to indicate information related to ports assigned to one or more UEs. The base station may also signal information regarding ports shared with other UEs, which the UE may use when performing channel estimation. In some examples, the base station may signal a number of ports used per sub-band to the UE or a number of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports used by the UE. The base station may signal a sub-set of a total number of ports that are shared by other UEs overlapping with the resource allocation of the UE. The signaling may indicate a number of combs used by the base station in the resource allocation for the UE.

摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) configured to receive a downlink in a network configured for full duplex communication. The UE receives from the network an indication of a maximum rank of an uplink from an interfering, aggressor UE. The UE measures interference of a signal from the aggressor UE, and based on the measurement, determines one or more rank values for the aggressor UE, less than or equal to the maximum rank. The UE may further determine one or more channel parameters for downlink transmissions the UE receives, corresponding to the determined rank values. The UE then transmits a channel state information (CSI) report that includes an indication of at least one of the one or more rank values for the aggressor UE. The CSI report may further include the determined channel parameters. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for coupling a structure in which aperiodic channel state information reference symbols (CSI-RSs) are received with the content and timing of channel feedback. An example method generally includes receiving a request for channel feedback identifying a type of channel feedback to be provided to the BS and a type of CSI-RS to be used for generating the identified type of channel feedback, transmitting an indication of an amount of time used to generate the identified type of feedback based on the identified type of CSI-RS, receiving a triggering signal indicating at least a location of one or more CSI-RSs and a time at which the UE is to report the channel feedback, receiving the one or more CSI-RSs in the indicated location, generating the channel feedback based on the one or more CSI-RSs, and transmitting the generated feedback to the BS.

In some examples, the channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) may be associated with a corresponding DM-RS for a DL data channel. The transmitting device, in some examples, may further transmit a notification that provides resource allocations (e.g., port allocations) that minimize the redundant information that is required to be transmitted from the base station to the user equipment (UE) when the DM-RS port allocation is the same as the CSI-RS port allocation received by the UE in an earlier time slot.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure disclose various methods for grouping network resources into precoder resource groups (PRGs) for precoding in MIMO communication. A user equipment (UE) may select a common precoder that may not be restricted to a codebook for precoding the resources in the same PRG. These resource grouping methods provide the UE with the flexibility to select a precoder that is well suited to the channel or bandwidth. Moreover, the base station may reduce downlink signaling because it does not need to signal the precoder choice to the UE. In some examples, the base station may receive PRG based channel state information feedback that facilitates DL precoding. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

摘要: Techniques are discussed herein identify transmission strategies and to communicate those identified transmission strategies in a transparent communication environment. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may identify a new transmission strategy for a downlink channel different from a current transmission strategy for the down link channel. The UE may transmit a channel state information (CSI) message that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the UE. In some examples, a base station may identify the new transmission strategy for the downlink channel. The base station may transmit a codebook subset restriction (CSR) indicator that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the base station. In some examples, the UE may modify its feedback strategy based on the new transmission strategy.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support a low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) precoded reference signal design for multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) transmissions. A user equipment (UE) may identify multiple sets of symbols associated with different reference signal waveforms, where each reference signal waveform may be associated with a low PAPR. In some cases, different single-carrier reference signal waveforms may be mapped to subsets of frequency resources through frequency division multiplexing (FDM) for a transmission on a single antenna. However, the addition of single-carrier waveforms through FDM for a transmission via an antenna may result in an uplink transmission having a high PAPR (e.g., as compared to single-carrier waveforms). The UE may reduce the PAPR of the uplink transmission by multiplexing the reference signal waveforms in the time domain (e.g., using time division multiplexing (TDM)).
