    摘要: A method of signal transmission/reception by a transmitter in a wireless mobile communication system is provided. The method includes determining a signal transmission/reception corresponding relation between a downlink and an uplink of the wireless mobile communication system using a super-frame, the super-frame including at least one frame, said at least one frame including at least one downlink sub-frame and at least one uplink sub-frame, the signal transmission/reception corresponding relation enabling each sub-frame within a link including fewer sub-frames to correspond to at least one sub-frame within a link including more sub-frames when the downlink and the uplink of the wireless mobile communication system include different numbers of sub-frames, wherein the signal transmission/reception corresponding relation is also determined when the downlink and the uplink of the wireless mobile communication system include a same number of sub-frames, and transmitting and receiving signals to and from a receiver through at least one downlink sub-frame and at least one uplink sub-frame according to the determined signal transmission/reception corresponding relation.

    摘要: An apparatus is configured to perform a method for selecting a cell to increase transmission capacity in a wireless communication system. A Mobile Station (MS) can select a cell in a heterogeneous network system. The MS can receive a loading indicator for each of a plurality of Base Stations (BS); measure signal strength information for each of the BSs; and select one of the BSs using the loading indicator and the signal strength information. Therefore, the transmission efficiency of the system can be increased.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method for reducing delay during beam alignment in a beamformed wireless communication system are provided. A method for selecting a beam pattern in a Base Station (BS) includes determining whether a direction finding signal is received through each time interval of a direction finding channel, transmitting information of whether the direction finding signal is received with respect to each time interval of the direction finding channel, changing a receive beam pattern and receiving a random access signal from a Mobile Station (MS) with at least one transmit beam pattern over a random access channel, and selecting one of transmit beam patterns of the MS and one of receive beam patterns of the BS according to the random access signal.

A Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) size, the number of guard subcarriers, and the number of used subcarriers corresponding to the system bandwidth are determined using a first table. An operation parameter of a modem is set according to the FFT size, the number of guard subcarriers, and the number of used subcarriers.
