Apparatus and method for continuous pressure control in a process chamber. An apparatus includes a process chamber configured to receive a wafer; at least one pump coupled to the process chamber for maintaining pressure in the process chamber; an inlet for receiving reactive gasses into the process chamber; and a pressure control valve positioned between the at least one pump and configured to seal the process chamber to control the pressure in the process chamber. A method includes disposing at least one semiconductor wafer into a process chamber that is coupled to a pump for maintaining a sub-atmospheric pressure within the process chamber; introducing reactive process gasses into the process chamber; using a pressure control valve, at least partially sealing the process chamber; and increasing the pressure within the process chamber while exposing the semiconductor wafer to the process gasses to form epitaxial material. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

A photoelectric lens module is utilized to focus a light source. A fabrication method comprises steps of providing a first substrate; positioning a plurality of gap units on the first substrate, and forming a plurality of gap regions amongst the gap units on the first substrate; providing a second substrate comprising a plurality of photoelectric lens units, in which the positions of the photoelectric lens units are corresponding to the locations of the gap regions; and filling a transparent rubber in the gap regions in such that the first substrate and the second substrate are adhered closely.

The present invention discloses a multilayer single lens structure with zooming and focusing functions, particularly a lens structure that makes use of the special properties of crystalline grains and applying a voltage to achieve the zooming and focusing functions. The present invention comprises an object lens layer; an adjustable object lens layer, capable of adjusting its index of refraction; an imaging lens layer; and a voltage regulating device; wherein the order of arranging the object lens layer and the adjustable object lens layer is interchangeable, and these layers are connected to the imaging lens layer, and the voltage regulating device is electrically connected to the adjustable object lens layer for supplying different voltages to achieve the zooming and focusing functions.

A method for capturing carbon dioxide has been disclosed in the invention, comprising the steps of: (1) electrolyzing a saturated salt solution so as to obtain sodium hydroxide; (2) adding the sodium hydroxide into a seawater solution, so as to allow magnesium chloride and calcium chloride in the seawater to be converted into magnesium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide; (3) bringing carbon dioxide into a water solution having magnesium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide, so as to convert them into magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate. The method allows for the capture of carbon dioxide in an effective, fast and safe manner, which reduces the amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide, and cuts down carbon dioxide emissions consequently.

An LED structure includes a first conductive body, a first insulating body on the first conductive body, a second conductive body on the first insulating body, and an LED. The first conductive body has a conducting portion upward projected from the insulating body and the second conductive body, so that a conducting section at a top of the conducting portion is exposed at the insulating sleeve portion. The LED is mounted on the conducting section of the first conductive body and electrically connected to the second conductive body. With these arrangements, the LED structure may be mounted on a power supply board without the need of distinguishing the polarities of electrodes, and can therefore be easily mounted to and dismounted from the power supply board and be conveniently replaced when necessary.

A solar power generating device includes a solid cylindrical conductive body partially surround by a hollow cylindrical conducting layer with an insulating layer located between them, and a solar energy converter located at an end of the conductive body with two electrodes separately electrically connected to the conducting layer and the conductive body, so that the solar power generating device is configured as a plug-in module that could be very easily mounted to and dismounted from a circuit board.

A terahertz field effect non-invasive biofeedback diagnosis system comprises a trigger sensor, a terahertz wave source field unit, and a central processing & telemetry unit. The central processing and telemetry unit (CP&T) is used to generate different types of stimulus signals to patients and system operation units. The biofeedback diagnosis system is used to form two biofeedback loops: one loop is through a CP&T-patient-trigger sensor loop and the other loop is through a CP&T-operation unit-trigger sensor loop. The trigger sensor can remotely obtain the biofeedback signal of the patient, and process the feedback signal into a digital signal and send it back to the central processing and telemetry unit. In order to improve the feedback signal of patients, the terahertz wave source field unit is placed near the patient, so as to trigger the feedback signals of biological cells, tissues, organs and brain waves of patients for diagnosis.

An algae cultivation apparatus includes a light guide plate, at least one transparent circulating channel, at least one light emission module, an algae guide-in module, an algae collection module, a gas guide-in module, a gas collection module, a culture medium guide-in module, a temperature control module and a pH value control module. With the installation of the light guide plate and at least one light emission module, a 24-hour light source can be introduced to improve the production efficiency of an algae.
