    摘要: A telemetry system for sensing remote physical events and for transmitting and boosting a digital data signal representing the sensed events on a transmission line, which comprises a master clock and a plurality of sensing stations for sensing local data. The sensing stations inject local data onto the transmission line as a digital data signal, and a controller/receiver receives the digital data. The master clock initializes the system timing and generates a sync signal. Each sensing station includes a booster subsystem for receiving the local digital data and for injecting the digital data onto the transmission line as a digital data signal. During system start up, each booster subsystem claims a slot, in accordance with an organizational process, for injecting the digital data signal onto the transmission line. The booster subsystem in each sensing station further includes a booster circuit for boosting the digital data signals which are propagating on the transmission line, as well as the sync signal. The booster circuit comprises a negative impedance bistable device for enhancing the amplitude and rise time of the digital data signal. Each booster subsystem further includes a switching mode regulator circuit for converting a supply current on the transmission line to a level voltage, thereby providing local power to the components of the sensing station.

    摘要: According to one configuration, a repeater device includes a first port, a second port, and amplifier circuitry. The first port receives a first set of multiple signal bands transmitted in a downstream direction on a communication link. The second port receives a second set of multiple signal bands transmitted in an upstream direction on the communication link; the second set of multiple signal bands include a first signal band and a second signal band. The amplifier circuitry amplifies the first set of multiple signal bands and the second set of multiple signal bands. A given signal band in the first set resides in a frequency spectrum between the first signal band and the second signal band of the second set. Communications in the given signal band control at least one set-top box coupled to the communication link in the downstream direction.

    摘要: A turbine blade squealer tip includes an airfoil shaped tip cap having a squealer tip wall extending radially outwardly from and around the perimeter of the airfoil shaped tip cap to define a radially outwardly open tip cavity. The tip wall has an inboard side facing the interior of the cavity and an outboard side facing away from the cavity and the tip cap has an outer tip side on a bottom of the cavity. Thermal barrier coatings are disposed on the inboard and outboard sides of the squealer tip wall and on the outer tip side of the tip cap. One embodiment provides the tip cap with cooling holes disposed therethrough to flow cooling air into the cavity.

    摘要: A transmission control system includes a plurality of hydraulic pressure operated control elements for engaging a gear of the transmission in response to actuation of a shift control lever having neutral and non-neutral positions, a plurality of control valves for controlling pressurization of the control elements and a pump for supplying pressurized fluid to the control valves. An engagement override system includes a switch which is coupled to the shift lever and which energizes a solenoid when the shift lever is in its neutral position and de-energizes the solenoid when the shift lever is in its non-neutral position. In a preferred embodiment, an engagement override valve includes a pilot operated valve which controls communication between the pump, a reservoir and the pressure operated control elements. The solenoid controls the pilot operated valve. The valve also includes a pilot chamber which is pressurized to move the valve to and hold the valve in a position wherein the pump is communicated with the pressure operated control elements.

    摘要: A novel abdominal exercise machine is provided which is adaptable for a variety of strength exercises utilizing at least some of the weight of a user for resistance. The exercise machine includes a first frame having laterally spaced and parallel side arms adapted for at least partially receiving a user in a supine position therebetween for abdominal exercise. A second frame is pivotally attached to one side of the first frame and includes a support member for at least partially supporting a user's weight thereon during utilization of the exercise machine. When utilized for abdominal exercise, the support member can support a user's head thereon. When utilized for a variety of strength exercises, the support member can support at least some or all of the weight of a user thereon wherein the user can stand, sit, or kneel on the support member. The amount of resistance encountered during strength exercises can be selectively adjusted. The exercise machine additionally includes a handlebar pivotally attached to the same side of the first frame as the second frame but on an opposite end of the first frame from the location of attachment of the second frame to the first frame.
