摘要： The video coding apparatus of the present invention for reducing pulsing artifacts includes: a correlation calculation unit which calculates a correlation value indicating a correlation degree of correlation between: a first block; and a second block or a third block. The first block including pixels included in a first original picture in an original picture sequence of original pictures, the second block including pixels included in a second original picture which precedes the first original picture, and the third block being obtained by coding and reconstructing the second block. The video coding apparatus includes a correlation judgment unit which judges whether the correlation value exceeds a first threshold, and judge that the correlation is high when the correlation value exceeds the first threshold; and a blending unit which blends the first block and the third block when the correlation judgment unit judges that the correlation is high.

摘要： A video coding apparatus is provided to reduce pulsing artifacts. The video coding apparatus includes a correlation calculation unit calculating a correlation value indicating a correlation degree of correlation between: a first block; and a second block or a third block. The first block includes pixels included in a first original picture in an original picture sequence of original pictures, the second block includes pixels included in a second original picture which precedes the first original picture, and the third block is obtained by coding and reconstructing the second block. The video coding apparatus also includes a correlation judgment unit judging whether the correlation value exceeds a first threshold, and judging that the correlation is high when the correlation value exceeds the first threshold, and includes a blending unit blending the first block and the third block when the correlation judgment unit judges that the correlation is high.

摘要： To provide a method and an apparatus for adaptively improving the image quality of current images to be coded by reducing effects due to pulsing artifacts. The video coding method of the present invention is intended for coding a video on a per predetermined block basis using one or more predetermined quantization control variables, and includes: calculating a correlation degree indicating the correlation between an original block in a current original picture to be coded and a prediction block in a previous uncompressed picture; changing a first predetermined quantization control variable to a second predetermined quantization control variable so as to reduce a quantization step size in the case where the correlation degree is greater than a predetermined threshold; and determining the quantization step size based on the second quantization control variable, and coding the original block on the determined quantization step size basis using a predetermined image coding tool.

摘要： A method and an apparatus are provided for adaptively improving an image quality of current images to be coded by reducing effects due to pulsing artifacts. 摘要： Methods and apparatuses for performing inter-color-plane prediction with adaptability to various existing video content representations are provided. A plurality of predetermined rescaling schemes based on a color plane format is selected. A first block of original samples of a first color plane is encoded into a compressed bitstream. A block of reconstructed samples of the first color plane is reconstructed. An inter-color-plane prediction process is performed to produce samples of a second color plane. Said block of prediction samples of the second color plane is subtracted from a second block of original samples of the second color plane to produce a block of residual samples of the second color plane where the positions of the first block and the second block of original samples are aligned. Finally, the block of residual samples of the second color plane is encoded.

The method includes: writing one of a parameter or a flag into one or more reference pictures of the plurality of reference pictures, creating a first list of reference pictures comprising the plurality of reference pictures sorted based on the parameter or flag, and encoding a current picture of the video using at least the first list of reference pictures. A method of decoding video using a plurality of reference pictures is also provided. The method includes parsing one of a parameter or flag from one or more reference pictures of the plurality of reference pictures, creating a first list of reference pictures comprising the plurality of reference pictures sorted based on the parameter or flag, and decoding a current picture of the video using at least the first list of reference pictures. In addition, there are provided corresponding apparatuses for encoding and decoding video.
