    摘要: A scanning endoscope, amenable to both rigid and flexible forms, scans a beam of light across a field-of-view, collects light scattered from the scanned beam, detects the scattered light, and produces an image. The endoscope may comprise one or more bodies housing a controller, light sources, and detectors; and a separable tip housing the scanning mechanism. The light sources may include laser emitters that combine their outputs into a polychromatic beam. Light may be emitted in ultraviolet or infrared wavelengths to produce a hyperspectral image. The detectors may be housed distally or at a proximal location with gathered light being transmitted thereto via optical fibers. A plurality of scanning elements may be combined to produce a stereoscopic image or other imaging modalities. The endoscope may include a lubricant delivery system to ease passage through body cavities and reduce trauma to the patient. The imaging components are especially compact, being comprised in some embodiments of a MEMS scanner and optical fibers, lending themselves to interstitial placement between other tip features such as working channels, irrigation ports, etc.

    摘要: A portable data collection device having an imaging based dataform reader utilizing a binarization process to identify an imaged dataform or signature area with a target image area. An imaging assembly is provided that includes a board camera having black and white circuitry and generates a composite video signal representing an image of a target area of the imaging assembly when actuated. The imaging assembly includes a two dimensional photosensor array. The imaging assembly is selectively actuatable with a first trigger for reading a target dataform in the imaging assembly's target area and actuatable with a second trigger for capturing a image of the target object in the target area. When the device is operated in a dataform reading mode or in a signature area capture mode, binarization circuitry is provided that binarizes gray scale values generated from the composite video signal and examines the binary values to identify the imaged dataform or signature area. When operating in the signature area capture mode, the binarized data corresponding to the signature area is subject to data compression before being output. When operating in the dataform reading mode, the binarized data corresponding to the dataform are operated on by cell extraction circuitry and dataform decoding circuitry to decode the imaged dataform.

    摘要: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to improving images obtained from an image-acquiring system (e.g., such as a scanned laser beam camera, a scanned laser imager, or other image-acquiring system). In certain aspects, an image frame is obtained from which a histogram is created. Characteristics of the image are determined based on the histogram. These characteristics are used to make an image quality judgment regarding the image. This judgment is then used to adjust parameters in the image-acquiring system for obtaining a subsequent frame. Parameters may be adjusted even if the image is judged as normal. Other aspects are described in the specification.

    摘要: A portable data collection device providing for optical character recognition. A housing defines an internal region and includes a user handle that allows a user to position the housing relative to an indicia carrying target. An imaging assembly includes a two dimensional imaging array supported within the internal region of the housing. The imaging assembly includes a capture circuit that generates a video signal representative of an image of a target zone. An optics assembly supported by the housing focuses an image of the target area onto the photosensor array. A character recognition processing circuit receives the video signal and categorizes the indicia on the target into a set of predefined characters. The character recognition processing circuit includes a discriminator for identifying a text region of the target and identifying individual character regions within the text region and a categorizer for identifying a character from a set of possible characters for an individual character region. The categorizer performs one or more tests based on pixel data within the individual character region.

    摘要: An easy-to-install tap structure includes a tap body, a pipe joint and a connecting pipe for communicating the tap body with the pipe joint. The connecting pipe is arranged between the tap body and the pipe joint. When the tap structure is used for a wash basin, there is no need to connect a braided hose; in the process of replacing a tap, there is no need to replace the pipe joint and the connecting pipe, so that the pipe joint and the connecting pipe can be used many times; and when the tap is dismounted, the tap body can be directly rotated, and when the tap is mounted, the connecting pipe is directly adjusted to rotate until the water outlet of the tap is arranged in the correct direction.
