摘要: The invention provides a running tool for a wellbore component. In one aspect, the tool includes a body having a longitudinal bore therethrough with an upper end for connection to a tubular run-in string and a selective attachment assembly for a wellbore component therebelow. A flow directing member is disposed in the bore and is movable between a first and second position. At a predetermined flow rate through the member, the member moves to the second position and directs fluid towards the selective attachment assembly, thereby causing the running tool to become disengaged from the wellbore component after the wellbore component has been actuated and fixed in the wellbore.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention generally provide a method, apparatus, and system for monitoring conditions in wellbore in real time prior to setting an inflatable element in the wellbore. The inflatable element is inflated with an inflation tool run on a cable with one or more electrically conductive wires (the cable is commonly referred to as a “wireline”). One or more sensors, internal or external to the inflation tool, are monitored before setting the inflatable element to verify well conditions are compatible with the inflatable element. The sensors may be internal or external to the inflation tool.

摘要: An apparatus, method, and system for use in operating an electric downhole tool on a non-conductive support line (slickline) by converting a battery voltage to an output voltage suitable for operating the tool. In response to receiving a trigger signal, the output voltage signal is applied to the tool. The tool is controlled by varying the output voltage signal according to a power control sequence. Accordingly, electric tools typically requiring surface intervention by an operator via an electric cable (wireline) may be operated on slickline.

摘要: A downhole differential flow control valve is provided that utilizes a differential pressure area having one pressure area on which the wellbore pressure acts and a second area different from the first area on which pressure in the tubing acts. The differential area reduces the load in which the spring is required to exert a closing force in the valve. Thus, a coil spring can be used to improve the closing speeds of the valve.

摘要: The present invention provides a simple debris removal apparatus for use in a wellbore. In one aspect of the invention a modular, interchangeable venturi is provided which can be retrofit into an existing debris bailer having a filter and a debris collection container. In another aspect of the invention, a venturi is utilized to create a negative pressure in a wellbore sufficient to actuate a retrieval tool for a downhole device. In yet another aspect of the invention, a combination tool is provided which can evacuate debris in a wellbore, thereby uncovering a downhole device which can then be removed in a single trip. In yet another aspect of the invention, a debris removal apparatus is provided with a method for the apparatus in a wellbore on coiled tubing.

摘要: The present invention provides methods for expanding coiled tubing within a wellbore in order to form a patch. In one aspect, an expansion assembly is run into the wellbore at the lower end of a string of coiled tubing. The expansion assembly includes a cutting tool and an expander tool. The coiled tubing is run into the wellbore such that the expander tool is adjacent a portion of surrounding casing or other tubular body to be patched. The expander tool is actuated so as to expand a selected portion of the coiled tubing into frictional engagement with the surrounding casing, thereby forming a patch within the wellbore. The cutting tool is actuated so as to sever the coiled tubing downhole above the patch. The severed coiled tubing is then pulled, thereby removing the expansion assembly from the wellbore as well.
