Abstract:
There is provided a photoconductive member comprising a conductive support and disposed thereon a charge generating layer. The charge generating layer comprises a first polymer binder and a perylene-tetracarbonic acid amide pigment having blue wavelength photosensitivity of the following formula: wherein each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are the same or different and are independently selected from the group comprising hydrogen, alkyl, aryl and halogen. A charge transport layer is disposed on the conductive support and comprises tri-p-toylamine and 1,-1-bis(N,N-ditoyl-4-aminophenyl)cyclohexane in a second polymer binder.

There is provided a photoconductive member comprising a conductive support and disposed thereon a charge generating layer. The charge generating layer comprises a first polymer binder and a flaventhrone component having blue wavelength photosensitivity of the following formula: wherein each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6, are the same or different and are independently selected from the group comprising a hydrogen, alkyl, aryl and halogen. A charge transport layer is disposed on the conductive support and comprises tri-p-toylamine and 1,-1-bis(N,N-ditoyl-4-aminophenyl)cyclohexane in a second polymer binder.
Abstract:
The present teachings describe an apparatus for mixing developer. The apparatus includes a first loader for dispensing a predetermined amount of toner particles into a container and a second loader for dispensing a predetermined amount and carrier particles in the container. A sealer seals the container. An acoustic mixer is provided for mixing the container, toner particles and carrier particles at a resonant frequency. A method of mixing developer is disclosed.
Abstract:
The disclosure describes a pigment treated with a rosin and a toner particle containing that rosin-treated pigment particle. The toner has a lower level of dielectric loss.
Abstract:
Coated phosphorescent pigments are provided which may be utilized in toner compositions. In embodiments, the phosphorescent pigment may be coated by a powder coating process. The large pigment particles may be dry blended with dried resin latex particles, thereby coating the pigment surface, followed by heating and shearing in a rotary kiln or extruder to melt the toner resin and fuse it to the pigment surface. The resulting coated particles may be utilized with other toners, in embodiments color toners, to provide phosphorescent images.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes a hyperpigmented low melt black toner containing a thermal carbon black which exhibits reduced dielectric loss and improved tribo charging.
Abstract:
A toner and method for making a toner that includes an amorphous resin, a crystalline resin, and a cyanine dye. The cyanine dye improves heat cohesion without negatively effecting other desirable properties.
Abstract:
Presently disclosed embodiments relate generally to layers that are useful in imaging apparatus members and components, for use in electrophotographic, including digital, apparatuses. More particularly, the embodiments pertain to an electrophotographic imaging member having its outer surface patterned such that friction with the cleaning blade is significantly reduced.
Abstract:
The presently disclosed embodiments relate generally to layers that are useful in imaging apparatus members and components, for use in electrophotographic, including digital apparatuses. Embodiments pertain to an improved electrophotographic imaging member used in customer replaceable units (CRU) comprising a very thin outer layer on the imaging member surface, where the outer layer comprises healing materials that act as a barrier against moisture and/or surface contaminants. The improved imaging member exhibits improved xerographic performance, such as reduced wear and deletions in high humidity conditions.
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure provide a printing method that can utilize a lightly pigmented toner along with a darkly pigmented toner to improve the image quality. The method can include receiving a dataset corresponding to a printing of a printing system using a darkly pigmented toner. The printing system may have an undesirable optical density printing range for the darkly pigmented toner. Further, the method can include converting the dataset to a first dataset corresponding to a first printing of the printing system using the darkly pigmented toner, and a second dataset corresponding to a second printing of the printing system using a lightly pigmented toner. The first dataset can avoid the undesirable optical density printing range for the darkly pigmented toner, and a combination of the first printing and the second printing providing a substantially same printed optical density corresponding to the received dataset.
