Abstract: In a motor driving device, a current detector detects a value of the motor current, and a limit variable calculator calculates a calculation value of a limit variable for limiting the command current. A determiner determines, based on a relationship between the value of the motor current and the calculation value of the limit variable, whether the motor current is in a less-response situation to change of the command current. A current limiter determines whether to limit a value of the command current based on the calculation value of the limit variable in accordance with a result of the determination of whether the motor current is in the less-response situation to change of the command current.

Abstract: A microcomputer includes an abnormality monitor unit, a rotation angle calculation unit and a current supply control unit. The abnormality monitor unit monitors an abnormality of the rotation angle sensor. The rotation angle calculation unit calculates an electrical angle based on angle information acquired from the rotation angle sensor and an abnormality state of the rotation angle sensor. The current supply control unit controls current supply to the winding sets based on the electrical angle. When an abnormality is detected in one of the sensor units, the rotation angle calculation unit calculates the electrical angle based on a hold value which is the electrical angle before the detection of abnormality during a period from the detection of abnormality to a final determination of the abnormality. When the abnormality of the sensor unit is finalized, the electrical angle is calculated based on the angle information of the other sensor unit which is normal.

The base assist controller individually or commonly calculates a base assist torque based on the torsion torque. The stabilization controller individually or commonly calculates a stabilization torque for stabilizing a steering system. The adder performs addition of the base assist torque and the stabilization torque.

Abstract: An apparatus for estimating a transfer function of at target object having divided systems is disclosed. The apparatus acquires an estimation equation to estimate the transfer function of the target object, and determines, for each arithmetic operation in the estimation equation, whether the arithmetic operation is an addition or a multiplication. For the multiplication, the apparatus performs the multiplication of frequency response characteristics in the frequency domain. For addition, the apparatus converts the frequency response characteristics into time response characteristics, performs the addition of the time response characteristics in the time domain, and reconverts a result of the addition into the frequency domain.

Abstract: A motor control device includes a plurality of systems capable of controlling current supply to a motor. Each microcomputer of first and second systems is configured to communicate information of the own system and the other system by inter-computer communication and has an independent ground potential. A power supply current flowing between a power supply and a power converter is assumed to be positive and negative in a power running state and a regeneration state. Abstract: A control device is provided for a three-phase rotary machine including two three-phase-winding sets. The control device includes two power converters for outputting alternating currents with a same amplitude and a phase difference of (30±60×n) degrees to the two three-phase-winding sets and a control unit for controlling energization of the three-phase rotary machine by calculating a d-axis current and a q-axis current of a 6(2k+1)th component to be superimposed on a fundamental wave component on dq coordinates so as to reduce a phase current peak value. The control unit calculates currents so that a high-order dq amplitude ratio is 0 when a fundamental wave current amplitude is a first threshold or less, and the high-order dq amplitude ratio is 1 when the fundamental wave current amplitude is larger than a second threshold.

Abstract: A motor control device of an electric motor includes: a board with a heat sink; multiple switching elements; a drive circuit IC; a control circuit IC; first and second temperature sensors; a temperature information processing unit; and an abnormality determination unit. An out-of-normal-range state is a state where a temperature deviation exceeds a normal deviation threshold, and it is impossible to determine which one of the first and second temperature sensors is abnormal. When both sensors are normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of first and second detected temperatures. When one sensor is abnormal and the other is normal, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures of a normal sensor. When both sensors fall in the out-of-normal-range state, the temperature information processing unit uses one of the first and second detected temperatures which meets a predetermined condition.

Abstract: Each of a plurality of microcomputers outputs a motor drive signal, which is generated based on a current command value and a current limit value as a control amount command value and a control amount limit value, to each motor drive circuit. When an OFF determination of an own microcomputer is made, each microcomputer executes first end processing as a first stage of end processing and transmits an OFF determination signal to the other microcomputer. When the OFF determination signal is received from the other microcomputer, each microcomputer determines that the OFF determination has been made and starts second end processing which gradually decreases the current command value or the current control limit value from a present value. When the second end processing is completed and power-off preparation of the own microcomputer and the other microcomputer is completed, each microcomputer executes final end processing for turning off the power supply relay.
