Abstract: An item selection apparatus storing multiple items being classified into multiple groups, and selecting a desired item on a display screen by displaying the multiple items on the display screen and by changing a group with which the items are displayed, is provided. The item selection apparatus includes an operation portion, a selection candidate display portion, a selection candidate change portion, a determination portion, and a group change portion. The operation portion has a predetermined reference position and is rotated from the reference position. The selection candidate display portion displays an item of a selection candidate in a mode different from another item. The selection candidate change portion changes the item at a speed corresponding to a rotational angle. The determination portion determines the item as a selected item. The group change portion changes the group with which the multiple items are displayed on the display screen.

Abstract: A controller is applied to a search manipulation system that allows a user to manipulate a dial and thereby specify a search direction and a search speed when sequentially searching several display objects for a targeted display object. The controller determines that a sudden reverse manipulation occurs when the dial is reversely manipulated to reverse the search direction at a reverse manipulation speed higher than or equal to a specified speed. When determining that the sudden reverse manipulation occurs, the controller performs a search at a search speed lower than a speed used for a search during which no sudden reverse manipulation occurs.

Abstract: A display device for a vehicle includes: an irradiation unit configured to irradiate a display light for an occupant of the vehicle to display an image; and a storage unit housing the irradiation unit so as to expose a display screen to which the display light is irradiated. The storage unit has an air intake port to take in air and an air discharge port to discharge the air. The display device includes a confluence portion configured to merge a first exhaust air discharged from the air discharge port and a second exhaust air discharged from an air conditioner for a cabin of the vehicle through an air outlet arranged in the cabin. The confluence portion is defined such that a first flow direction of the first exhaust air and a second flow direction of the second exhaust air coincide with each other.

Abstract: Provided is an input device that can reduce a magnetic attractive force generated between a coil-side yoke and magnets while suppressing the decrease in an operation reaction force that can be generated. The input device includes four coils arranged in a cross shape and a magnet assembly. When a current is applied to windings of the coils, electromagnetic forces are generated between the coils and the magnet assembly. In addition, the input device includes a coil-side yoke that is located opposite to the magnet assembly across the coils. The coil-side yoke is shaped so that magnetic fluxes generated by the magnet assembly are concentrated on winding portions of the windings of the coils, the winding portions being arranged along directions of a cross.

Abstract: An input device includes four coil bodies held by a holder and four movable magnetic pole formation portions held by a movable body.
