摘要: Signals usable to determine a path of a vehicle towards a particular stopping point in a vicinity of a destination are detected from an individual authorized to provide guidance with respect to movements of the vehicle. Based at least in part on the signals and a data set pertaining to the external environment of the vehicle, one or more vehicular movements to be implemented to proceed along the path are identified. A directive is transmitted to a motion control subsystem of the vehicle to initiate one of the vehicular movements.

摘要: A vehicular trailering assist system includes at least one vehicle camera, an electronic control unit (ECU) and a display screen disposed at a vehicle. When a trailer hitched to the vehicle is not a trailer for which the vehicular trailering assist system has been previously calibrated, the driver is instructed to calibrate the system for the trailer. When the vehicular trailering assist system is calibrated, the system determines an obstacle-free path of travel for the vehicle and the trailer to follow to maneuver toward a target location. The system controls steering of the vehicle to maneuver the vehicle and the trailer along the determined obstacle-free path of travel. While the vehicle and the trailer are maneuvered along the determined obstacle-free path of travel, the determined obstacle-free path of travel is displayed on the display screen overlaying displayed video images derived from image data captured by the vehicle camera.

摘要: A route from a current location of a portable device to a destination is determined, where the route includes a sequence of directed sections. Navigation instructions to guide a user of the portable device along the route to the destination are generated. To this end, candidate navigation landmarks perceptible within a 360-degree range of the current location of the portable device are identified, a navigation landmark disposed in a direction substantially opposite to the direction of the first one in the sequence of directed sections is selected from among the candidate navigation landmarks, and an initial instruction in the navigation instructions is generated and provided via a user interface of the portable device. The initial instruction references the selected navigation landmark.

摘要: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media configured to display a geographical map overlaid with a marker layer comprising at least one marker; receive input from a user to change a zoom level of the geographical map from a first map scale to a second map scale; display the geographical map at the second map scale; and overlay the marker layer at the second map scale with the at least one marker at a second marker size. The second marker size is determined based on a correlation between the second map scale and the second marker size, in which (i) the second marker size is increased or decreased in the same direction as the second map scale when the second map scale is within a range from a low threshold point to a high threshold point, and (ii) a ratio change between two adjacent marker sizes is smaller than a ratio change between two corresponding adjacent map scales when the second marker size is outside the range from the low threshold point to the high threshold point.

The assigned vehicle is configured to transport a person from the respective start point, at least in part via the interconnected roadways, to the respective destination.

摘要: A remote initialization system and method for a vehicle system receive trip data for an upcoming trip at an off-board device. Using the off-board device, the trip data is communicated to the different back-office systems, and one or more of mandatory directives or software configuration requirements are received at the off-board device from the different back-office systems. An initialization data set that includes at least some of the trip data and at least some of the one or more of the mandatory directives or the software configuration requirements is communicated from the off-board device to an onboard controller of the vehicle system. The initialization data set is configured to be used by the onboard controller to control movement of the vehicle system in the different sets of the routes.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method of selecting a route for a user is disclosed. The method includes a routing computer presenting a map on a display operably coupled to the routing computer. The routing computer receives a start location and distance criteria via user input, and a plurality of routing criteria. The routing computer determines a plurality of routes that start and end at the start location based on the distance criteria and the routing criteria, and displays at least one of the plurality of routes on the map. Further, the routing computer receives route editing instructions via user input, and modifies at least one of the plurality of routes based on the editing instructions to create one or more modified routes.
