    Abstract: A vehicular antenna includes a transmitting antenna element, a receiving antenna element, a coupling portion, and an adjusting portion. The transmitting antenna element transmits a radio wave as a transmission wave. The receiving antenna element receives a radio wave as a receiving wave. The coupling portion electromagnetically couples a transmitting line through which the transmission wave passes with a receiving line through which the receiving wave passes. The adjusting portion adjusts, within the coupling portion, a mutual coupling amount between the transmission wave in the transmitting line and the receiving wave in the receiving line. The adjusting portion further adjusts a phase of the transmission wave to be coupled with the receiving wave by the coupling portion.

    Abstract: An antenna device includes a ground plate that is a plate-shaped conductor member, a patch portion that is a plate-shaped conductor member placed to be opposed to the ground plate with a predetermined distance therebetween, a short-circuit portion that is a conductor member electrically connecting together the patch portion and the ground plate, and an additional conductor that is a plate-shaped conductor member placed to be opposed to the patch portion with a predetermined distance therebetween. The additional conductor is placed on a side of the patch portion on which the ground plate is not placed. An inductance of the short-circuit portion, a capacitance formed by the ground plate and the patch portion, and a capacitance formed by the patch portion and the additional conductor are used to perform parallel resonance.

    Abstract: An antenna device includes a ground part, a patch part disposed parallel to the ground part to oppose the ground part, a short-circuit part electrically connecting the patch part and the ground part, a patch area expansion part and a ground area expansion part. The patch area expansion part is provided on a patch-side opposing surface that is a surface of the patch part opposing the ground part to expand an effective surface area that is an apparent area of the patch-side opposing surface with respect to the ground part. The ground area expansion part is provided in a region opposing the patch area expansion part on a ground-side opposing surface that is a surface of the ground part opposing the patch part to expand an effective surface area of the ground-side opposing surface with respect to the patch part.

    Abstract: An antenna device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a zeroth-order resonant antenna and a first-order resonant antenna. The zeroth-order resonant antenna includes a base plate, a platy radiation element, and a connection conductor connecting the base plate and the platy radiation element. The zeroth-order resonant antenna is configured to transmit and/or receive a first linearly polarized radio wave in all directions perpendicular to the first linearly polarized radio wave by zeroth order resonance. The first-order resonant antenna includes the base plate shared with the zeroth-order resonant antenna, and a first radiation element located on the same plane as the base plate. The first-order resonant antenna is configured to transmit and/or receive a second linearly polarized radio wave perpendicular to the first linearly polarized radio wave by first order resonance.

    Abstract: An antenna device includes a ground plate, a patch portion disposed parallel to the ground plate with a particular spacing, a plurality of short circuit portions that electrically connect the patch portion to the ground plate, and a loop portion which is a loop shaped conductor member at a particular spacing from an outer edge portion of the patch portion. The patch portion has an area which forms an electrostatic capacitance that causes parallel resonance with an inductance provided by the short circuit portions at a particular target frequency. The loop portion is formed with a perimeter length which is an integral multiple of the wavelength of radio waves at the target frequency. A feed point is disposed on the loop portion, and current is supplied to the patch portion through the loop portion.
