    Abstract: A control device is provided which controls an electric drive system, which has a motor that rotates a rotor blade and an inverter circuit that has a switching element and controls the motor and which is installed in a flying body. The control device includes an abnormality occurrence detection unit that detects occurrence of a predetermined abnormality accompanied with an abnormality of temperature of the switching element, and a switching element control unit that controls, when the occurrence of the predetermined abnormality is detected, the switching element so as to reduce loss in the switching element.

    Abstract: An electric power converter includes a semiconductor module that has a semiconductor element therein, a cooler that cools the semiconductor module, a circuit board provided with a semiconductor control circuit that controls the semiconductor module, a capacitor electrically connected to the semiconductor module, and a quick discharge resistor for discharging an electric charge accumulated in the capacitor. The circuit board is provided with a discharge control circuit that controls a current that flows into the quick discharge resistor. The semiconductor module, the cooler, the capacitor, and the quick discharge resistor are disposed on one major surface of the circuit board.

    Abstract: A power conversion apparatus is provided in a rotary electric machine, converting a power between a DC power source and the rotary electric machine having a multiphase winding. The power conversion apparatus includes: a plurality of switching modules each having a switching element for performing switching to control a current direction of a current flowing from the DC power source to the winding; a plurality of capacitor modules each having a capacitor that suppresses high frequency oscillation occurring on the current due to the switching operation; a positive side conductor connected to a positive electrode of the DC power source; and a negative side conductor connected to a negative electrode of the DC power source.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a control apparatus for an electric power generation system. The electric power generation system is configured to generate electric power and thereby charge a secondary battery that is an electric power source of a motor included in an electric drive system. The electric drive system further includes an inverter circuit for driving the motor and a power transmission unit for transmitting electric power from the secondary battery to the inverter circuit. The control apparatus includes a temperature acquisition unit and a power generation control unit. The temperature acquisition unit is configured to acquire a temperature of the power transmission unit. The power generation control unit is configured to control the electric power generation system to generate electric power and thereby charge the secondary battery when the temperature of the power transmission unit acquired by the temperature acquisition unit is higher than or equal to a predetermined threshold temperature.

    Abstract: A power conversion device has semiconductor modules, a cooling unit, a capacitor module, a discharge resistance substrate, a control circuit substrate and a casing. The semiconductor modules from a power conversion circuit. The capacitor module is electrically connected to the semiconductor module. The discharge resistance is arranged on the discharge resistance substrate, and electrically discharges the capacitor module. The control circuit substrate controls operation of the semiconductor modules. The casing accommodates the semiconductor module, the cooling unit, the capacitor module, the discharge resistance substrate and the control circuit substrate. The discharge resistance substrate is arranged between an outer wall surface of the capacitor module and the control circuit substrate and arranged in a direction perpendicular to the control circuit substrate so that the discharge resistance substrate is separated in position from the outer wall surface of the capacitor module and the control circuit substrate.

    Abstract: A power conversion apparatus includes a power conversion circuit and a control unit. The power conversion circuit converts electric power supplied from a power supply and outputs the converted electric power. The control unit controls the power conversion circuit. The power conversion circuit has at least one phase that is configured as a parallel-connection phase in which two semiconductor elements are connected in parallel to each other in each of an upper arm connected to a high potential-side wiring of the power supply and a lower arm connected to a low potential-side wiring of the power supply. The control unit detects temperature information related to element temperatures of all of the plurality of semiconductor elements of a target arm that is either of the upper arm and the lower arm of the parallel-connection phase, and performs overheating protection control of the power conversion circuit based on the detected temperature information.
