Abstract: A drive system for a rotating electric machine system includes: a first inverter and a second inverter connected to first and second ends of multi-phase windings respectively; a selection unit performing selection between a first setting representing that the first inverter is set to a switch drive inverter and the second inverter is set to a neutral-point drive inverter and a second setting representing that the second inverter is set to the switch drive inverter and the first inverter is set to the neutral-point drive inverter; and a drive control unit performing a switch drive task of performing on-off driving of the upper and lower arm switches of the switch drive inverter to thereby input/output power to/from the rotating electrical machine; and a neutral-point drive task of maintaining at least one of the upper and lower arm switches of the neural-point drive inverter in an on state.

Abstract: A power conversion apparatus is provided in a rotary electric machine, converting a power between a DC power source and the rotary electric machine having a multiphase winding. The power conversion apparatus includes: a plurality of switching modules each having a switching element for performing switching to control a current direction of a current flowing from the DC power source to the winding; a plurality of capacitor modules each having a capacitor that suppresses high frequency oscillation occurring on the current due to the switching operation; a positive side conductor connected to a positive electrode of the DC power source; and a negative side conductor connected to a negative electrode of the DC power source.

Abstract: A drive device for a rotary electric machine includes a first inverter that has high-potential side and low-potential side switching elements corresponding to phases of the rotary electric machine and is connected to a DC power supply, a second inverter that has high-potential side and low-potential side switching elements corresponding to the phases and is connected to the first inverter via a connection line, and a controller that controls the first and second inverters so that if a percentage modulation expressed by a fundamental wave component amplitude of a phase winding voltage and a DC voltage is a threshold value or more, percentage modulations of output phase voltages of the first and second inverters are more than 1, and so that a phase difference between a phase of the output phase voltage of the first inverter section and that of the second inverter section changes depending on the percentage modulation.

Abstract: A drive system includes: first and second inverters; a high-potential-side connection line; a low-potential-side connection line; a first changeover switch provided to at least one of the high-potential-side and low-potential side connection lines; a second changeover switch connected in parallel to the first changeover switch; a mode control section changing between a first mode in which to perform switching driving of upper and lower arm switches in one of the inverters and perform neutral point driving of at least one of the upper and lower arm switches in the other inverter to maintain in an on state and a second mode in which to perform switching driving of the upper and lower arm switches in both the inverters; and a changeover control section that, at the time of a changeover between the first and second modes, changes the first and second changeover switches between the on and off states.
