Abstract: A power supply monitoring device is applied to a power supply system. The system includes a first system having a first load and a second system having a second load. The first and second systems are connectable by an inter-system switch. The second system is connected with a power supply unit. In the first system, loads are connected in parallel as the first load, and fuses are provided to energization paths connected to the loads. The device includes a monitoring unit monitoring voltage reduction in the first system when the first and second loads are driven in a state in which the inter-system switch is closed, and a switch operation unit allowing the inter-system switch to conduct electricity in a state in which a conduction current in the inter-system switch is limited during a time period from voltage reduction, if the monitoring unit determines that the voltage reduction has occurred.

Abstract: A control apparatus is used in a vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine, a rotating electrical machine, and a storage battery. The control apparatus stops the engine when a state of charge (SOC) of the storage battery is higher than a lower limit, and an automatic stop condition is met and also restarts the engine when the SOC of the storage battery is lower than the lower limit, and an automatic restart condition is met. The control apparatus also controls operation of the rotating electrical machine to generate electricity to increase the SOC above a target SOC and also actuates the rotating electrical machine to assist in driving the vehicle when the SOC is higher than a torque assist enable SOC. The target SOC is set higher than the lower limit. The torque assist enable SOC is set higher than the target SOC. This improves the fuel economy.

Abstract: In a control apparatus mounted in a vehicle supporting start-stop control, for controlling a power supply system, a target charge level setter variably sets a target charge level of a second rechargeable battery when an internal-combustion engine of the vehicle is operating. The target charge level setter sets the target charge level to a higher level as load current increases, and when setting the target charge level, performs at least one of subtracting a first load quantity indicative of a current that is supplied to first electrical loads from a detected value of the load current and adding a second load quantity indicative of a current that is supplied to second electrical loads to the detected value of the load current. The first electrical loads operate when the internal-combustion engine is operating, and the second electrical loads operate when the engine is not operating.

Abstract: In a driving control device that controls a driving system for a vehicle, a voltage monitoring unit determines an abnormality in voltage detection and a current monitoring unit determines that power is supplied to the battery when a battery has a current value on a charge side relative to a predetermined value. A switch control unit cuts off a switch, in a case where it is determined that power is supplied to the battery during the power supply prohibition state of the power supply source.

Abstract: A control apparatus is used with a vehicle including an engine, a storage battery, and an electrical load. The control apparatus works as an automatic engine stop and restart system and calculates a SOC lower limit that is a minimum value of state of charge (SOC) of the battery required to continue to stop the engine in an idle stop mode. The control apparatus also calculates an amount of electric power expected to be consumed by the electrical load during the idle stop mode and determines an idle stop enable SOC at which the idle stop mode is entered and which is selected to be the sum of the SOC lower limit and a SOC of the battery which at least compensates for the consumed amount of electric power. This ensures chances to stop the engine in the idle stop mode and improves fuel economy.
