    摘要: An apparatus that operates to cause financial transfers responsive to data read from data bearing records includes at least one processor that is in operative connection with a card reader, a check acceptor, a cash dispenser and a touch screen display. The processor causes the machine to operate to read card data from a user card, and to cause a determination to be made that the read card data corresponds to an authorized financial account. The at least one processor is operative to cause data to be read from a check and/or cash to be dispensed, and a financial transfer to or from the account corresponding to the value thereof. Data corresponding to a user input alphanumeric characters is resolved by the processor responsive to contact with an input surface of the touch screen display. The area of contact may not include any visible output indicia that corresponds to the possible input characters prior to contact.

    摘要: In an example embodiment, an automated banking machine can cause financial transfers responsive to data read from data bearing records. The machine includes a card reader that can read from user cards, card data which corresponds to financial accounts. The machine can operate responsive to the read card data to carry out transactions that transfer and/or allocate funds between accounts. The machine can provide users a transaction receipt. The machine includes a cash dispenser that can dispense cash to authorized users. Value of dispensed cash can be assessed to an account which corresponds to the read card data. The machine is equipped with sensing devices strategically positioned adjacent to machine components. The sensing devices enable the machine to automatically detect servicing activities performed on the machine. The machine is operable to send information corresponding to detected service activity to a service data-collecting computer.

    摘要: In accordance with an example embodiment, there is disclosed herein an externally accessible headphone jack that is suitable for use with an automated banking machine such as an ATM. The headphone jack is configured to be releasably, electrically connectable to portable audio output devices. The headphone jack includes an opening external of the machine that is configured to receive electrical connector plugs therein. A jack housing is located within the automated banking machine, wherein the jack housing extends below the opening and bounds an interior area, wherein the interior area houses at least one electrical contact configured for releasable electrical connection with electrical connector plugs. The jack housing includes a drain opening therein below the at least one electrical contact that is configured to drain water from the interior area of the jack housing.
