    摘要： An allyloxymethylatedpolyamide composition is disclosed, the allyloxymethylatedpolyamide being represented by Formulae I and II: ##STR1## wherein: n is a positive integer sufficient to achieve a weight average molecular weight between about 5000 and about 100,000,R is an alkylene unit containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms,between 1 and 99 percent of the R.sub.2 sites are --H, andbetween 1 and 99 percent of the R.sub.2 sites are --H, and the remainder of the R.sub.2 sites is between 25 percent and 99 percent --CH.sub.2 --O--(CH.sub.2).sub.w --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2, whereinw is 1, 2 or 3,between 1 and 75 percent of the R.sub.2 sites are --CH.sub.2 --O--R.sub.5, andR.sub.5 is an alkyl unit containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and ##STR2## wherein: m is a positive integer sufficient to achieve a weight average molecular weight between about 5000 and about 100,000,R.sub.1 and R are independently selected from the group consisting of alkylene units containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms,between 1 and 99 percent of the R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 sites are --H, and between 25 percent and 99 percent of the remainder of the R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 sites are --CH.sub.2 --O--(CH.sub.2).sub.w --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2,whereinw is 1, 2 or 3, andbetween 1 percent and 75 percent of the R.sub.2 sites are --CH.sub.2 --O--R.sub.5wherein R.sub.5 is an alkyl unit containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms.The allyloxymethylatedpolyamide may be synthesized by reacting an alcohol soluble polyamide with formaldehyde and an allylalcohol.The allyloxymethylatedpolyamide may be cross linked by a process selected from the group consisting of(a) heating an allyloxymethylatedpolyamide in the presence of a free radical catalyst, and(b) hydrosilation of the double bond of the allyloxy group of the allyloxymethylatedpolyamide with a silicon hydride reactant having at least 2 reactive sites.A preferred article includesa substrate,at least one photoconductive layer, andan overcoat layer comprisinga hole transporting hydroxy arylamine compound having at least two hydroxy functional groups, anda cross linked allyloxymethylatedpolyamide film forming binder.A stabilizer may be added to the overcoat.

    摘要： An electrophotographic imaging member including a supporting substrate coated with at least photoconductive layer, a charge transport layer and an overcoating layer, the overcoating layer includinga hydroxy functionalized aromatic diamine anda hydroxy functionalized triarylamine dissolved or molecularly dispersed ina crosslinked polyamide matrix, the crosslinked polyamide prior to crosslinking being selected from the group consisting of materials represented by the following Formulae I and II: ##STR1## wherein: n is a positive integer sufficient to achieve a weight average molecular weight between about 5000 and about 100,000,R is an alkylene unit containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms,between 1 and 99 percent of the R.sub.2 sites are --H, andthe remainder of the R.sub.2 sites are --CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.3, and ##STR2## wherein: m is a positive integer sufficient to achieve a weight average molecular weight between about 5000 and about 100000,R.sub.1 and R are independently selected from the group consisting of alkylene units containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, andbetween 1 and 99 percent of the R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 sites are --H, andthe remainder of the R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 sites are --CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.3.Coating compositions for the overcoating layer of this invention as well as methods of making and using the overcoated photoreceptor are also disclosed.

    摘要： An electrophotographic imaging member includingat least one photographic imaging layer anda partially electrically conductive overcoat layer includingfinely divided charge injection enabling particles dispersed ina charge transporting continuous matrix including a cross linked polyamide, charge transport molecules and oxidized charge transport molecules, the continuous matrix being formed from a solution selected from the group includinga first solution includingcrosslinkable alcohol soluble polyamide containing methoxy methyl groups attached to amide nitrogen atoms,an acid having a pK.sub.a of less than about 3,a cross linking agent selected from the group comprising a formaldehyde generating cross linking agent, an alkoxylated cross linking agent, a methylolamine cross linking agent and mixtures thereof,a dihydroxy arylamine, anda liquid selected from the group including alcohol solvents, diluent and mixtures thereof,a second solution includingcrosslinkable alcohol soluble polyamide free of methoxy methyl groups attached to amide nitrogen atoms,an acid having a pK.sub.a of less than about 3,an alkoxylated cross linking agent, a methylolamine cross linking agent and mixtures thereof,a dihydroxy arylamine, anda liquid selected from the group including alcohol solvents, diluent and mixtures thereof.The electrophotographic imaging process is also disclosed.

These conductive polymeric compositions and processes therefor provide improved stability and a broad range of conductivities, manufacturing and compositional latitude, and dielectric strength.
