摘要: A container for a combination moisture absorber and deodorizer is constructed from an upper half and a lower half that, when joined together, define an enclosed interior. The upper half has a plurality of openings that allow ambient air to pass from outside the container to the enclosed interior. A tray is seated above a collection surface on the lower half and is provided with a plurality of openings that allow moisture absorbed from the air to pass from the tray to the collection surface. A moisture absorbing medium that is preferably dissolvable is preferably provided on the tray for transforming moisture from the air into liquid that passes through the tray and collects on the collection surface. A deodorizing medium is also preferably provided on either the tray or the collection surface (or both) for adding a deodorizing effect.

摘要: The present invention, referred to as a Compression Heater, is used as a source of heat, and/or as a means of cooling. As the name of the invention implies, a means to compress an appropriately chosen and operatively contained liquid or gas is utilized such as to cause a working fluid to become heated to some applicable temperature. This rise in temperature is caused by molecular friction due to compression. The thusly heated working fluid can then be incorporated in many novel applications as will become apparent below and in the Preferred Embodiments.

摘要: A dispenser for dispensing materials is provided including a container for holding the material to be dispensed, a plurality of frame portions for holding decorative items, locking apparatus for locking the frame portions to the container, and a dispensing means for dispensing materials from the container. The dispenser also includes a base for receiving the container and frame portions, a memory device for playing a sound when the dispenser is removed from the base, and a switch for activating the memory device when the container is removed from the base. The plurality of frames each contain an aperture and each aperture contains an inner edge operable to lock onto the container. The frames each contain clips to lock onto each other and hold the container. The dispenser includes a dispensing mechanism and the base includes an opening for receiving the dispensing mechanism. The dispenser may also include a cap for receiving the container and frame portions and a cover for covering the aperture may be included.

摘要: A wireless communication device which includes a passive radio-frequency (RF) tag having a memory for receiving and storing initial configuration information utilized by the device. The initial configuration information is written to the wireless communication device without requiring that the device be fully assembled, operational, powered up, removed from packaging, etc. An RF controller transmits initial configuration information to the passive tag using an RF signal. The passive tag derives sufficient energy from the RF signal to store the initial configuration information in memory. The wireless communication device further includes an interface which allows a processor within the device to access the initial configuration information upon such time when the device is removed from its packaging, powered up and operational.

摘要: Systems and methods for confirming that a circuit card is compatible with a computer in which it is installed includes accessing a list of compatible circuit cards stored in the computer's nonvolatile memory, determining if the circuit card is included in the list of compatible circuit cards; and storing operating software on the circuit card only if the circuit card is included in the list of compatible circuit cards. The list of compatible circuit cards can be the Plug-and-Play Identification (PnP ID) list stored in the computer's BIOS data. Power may be removed from the circuit card if the circuit card is not include in the list of compatible circuit cards.
