摘要: A method for the separation of a gas mixture comprises (a) obtaining a feed gas mixture comprising nitrogen and at least one hydrocarbon having two to six carbon atoms; (b) introducing the feed gas mixture at a temperature of about 60° F. to about 105° F. into an adsorbent bed containing adsorbent material which selectively adsorbs the hydrocarbon, and withdrawing from the adsorbent bed an effluent gas enriched in nitrogen; (c) discontinuing the flow of the feed gas mixture into the adsorbent bed and depressurizing the adsorbent bed by withdrawing depressurization gas therefrom; (d) purging the adsorbent bed by introducing a purge gas into the bed and withdrawing therefrom an effluent gas comprising the hydrocarbon, wherein the purge gas contains nitrogen at a concentration higher than that of the nitrogen in the feed gas mixture; (e) pressurizing the adsorbent bed by introducing pressurization gas into the bed; and (f) repeating (b) through (e) in a cyclic manner.

摘要: An improved adsorbent for ozone comprises a crystalline aluminosilicate in which at least 90% of the exchangeable cation content is in the acid form and further which contains between 0.5 and 20 wt % of one or more adsorbed components which are non-reactive with ozone. Preferably the adsorbed component is water, and the total non-framework metal content expressed as metal oxide is less than 0.4 mole %.

摘要: Apparatus and process for producing a hydrogen-containing product stream and a carbon monoxide-containing product stream from a crude synthesis gas produced in a syngas production unit. Carbon dioxide is removed from the process gas by a non-cryogenic means and the hydrogen-containing product stream is separated from the process gas in a pressure swing adsorber. Residual gas from the pressure swing adsorber is passed to a cryogenic separation unit where the cryogenic separation unit separates the residual gas stream into the carbon monoxide-containing product stream, a hydrogen-enriched stream, a methane-enriched stream, and a carbon monoxide-containing intermediate stream by cryogenic fractionation. At least a portion of the hydrogen-enriched stream is recycled to the pressure swing adsorber.
