    摘要： An implantable medical device (IMD) is disclosed that is formed on a substrate composed of liquid crystal polymer (LCP). In one embodiment, the IMD can be an interconnection module for interconnecting an electrode array to an equipment module. The interconnecting module includes conductors disposed on the LCP substrate and coupled to the electrode array, and wherein the conductors are encapsulated using a silicone or LCP encapsulant. In another embodiment, the IMD is an electrode array and interconnect module disposed on an integral LCP substrate. An equipment module can be coupled to the interconnect module. Alternatively, a hybrid electronic circuit can be coupled to the interconnect module for signal processing and conditioning signals received from the electrode array or for providing stimulus signals to the electrode array. In this embodiment, all of the conductors and at least a portion of the electrodes in the electrode array are encapsulated using a silicone or LCP encapsulant. In another embodiment, the IMD is an electrode array, an interconnecting module, and a hybrid circuit that are disposed on an LCP substrate. The interconnecting module is used to provide signal paths to and from the electrodes in the electrode array to the hybrid circuit. In this embodiment, all of the conductors, the hybrid electronic circuit and at least a portion of the electrodes in the electrode array are encapsulated using a silicone or LCP encapsulant.

    摘要： At a vehicle, a first signal is received and the first signal is of an ASK-compliant modulation type. A second signal is received and the second signal is of a FSK-compliant modulation type. Based upon a set of predetermined criteria, one of the first signal and the second signal is selected, the predetermined criteria at least in part indicating a priority as between ASK-compliant and FSK-compliant communications. The selected signal is transmitted to a vehicular controller over a single transmission line.

    摘要： A tire pressure monitoring system includes a receiver for processing signals and alerting an operator of the vehicle should conditions within any of the tires fall outside a desired range. The transmitters within the tires emit shorter transmission signals during operation by eliminating transmission of the identification code. The receiver stores the identifier for each transmitter for comparison to subsequent transmissions. Subsequent transmissions do not include the identifier. The receiver combines the saved identifier with the value provided in the check portion of the incoming transmission. If the combination of the saved identifier with the value provided in the check portion meets a defined criteria, than the signal is recognized as originating from one of the transmitters.

A system for thermal forming includes a thermal source for heating the region on the specimen to achieve a pre-selected geometry deformation, an active cooling module for cooling the region to a pre-selected temperature and a control module to control at least one of the thermal source and active cooling module in accordance with a process window to initiate active cooling to control at least one material property of the specimen at the heated region. The process window has an upper time limit for initiating cooling.

    摘要： A device and method detects two different types of data, such as tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) data and remote keyless entry (RKE) data and reduces current draw by duty cycling a receiver in the device asynchronously to intersperse multiple RKE sniffing periods in between consecutive, longer TPMS/RKE sniffing periods. The asynchronous duty cycle ensures that the sniffing periods conform to the actual length of the RKE data and TPMS data periods more closely, minimizing the likelihood of false wakeups caused by noise output by the receiver.
