    摘要: An auger hopper seal for a pivotable auger is provided according to the invention. The auger hopper seal includes a hopper for a pivotable auger at an intake end of the auger, the hopper having a rear wall located underneath a storage tank, side walls extending from underneath the storage tank, and a front wall positioned away from the storage tank, the hopper being located below a discharge opening on the storage tank and having a hinged connection to the storage tank, wherein the hopper may be pivoted vertically with respect to the storage tank, a flexible seal attached to the rear wall and the side walls of the hopper and positioned between the hopper and a bottom surface of the storage tank, the flexible seal being capable of being displaced by the bottom surface, and a biasing device mounted on the hopper and contacting the flexible seal and urging the flexible seal into a configuration co-planar with the rear wall of the hopper, wherein the flexible seal is capable of retaining a material contained in the hopper when the auger is elevated to a maximum vertical position.

    摘要: A utility vehicle or other device for excavating soil or the like includes a utility mechanism, such as, e.g., a trencher, an auger or the like, with a motor-driven utility drum. In preferred embodiments, the motor is contained substantially entirely inside the drum. Preferably, the drive shaft is operatively connected to the drum to rotate the drum at a connection location that is displaced inward from ends of the drum. In some embodiments, the drive shaft is also preferably operatively connected to a second utility mechanism, such as, e.g., a trencher chain. In some embodiments, a planetary transmission is also located inside the drum.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to methods to sequester oxides of carbon to prevent them from entering the atmosphere as gases. More specifically, this invention is directed to methods of chemical reactions and process to decompose carbon oxides by combustion of a metal fuel with carbon oxides using a regeneration process to recover the metal fuel. The process can optionally and beneficially be coupled to other useful chemical processes for the industrial purpose of sequestering carbon oxides into useful commercial chemicals and elements like carbon, chlorine, and sodium bicarbonate.
