    摘要： An implantable access port for use in transferring a fluid transdermally between an external fluid storage or dispensing device and a site within a patient's body is disclosed. The access port includes a base, a bowl-shaped reservoir defined within the base by a smooth surfaced wall, and a septum secured to the base and enclosing the reservoir within the base. The access port also includes a reservoir outlet defined centrally within the reservoir. The bowl-shaped reservoir is defined by a continuous smooth-surfaced curvilinear wall. The reservoir may thus be sized and shaped as a parabola, or may be hemispherical or semi-hemispherical in cross-section. The reservoir outlet is defined at a center point on the bottom of the reservoir wall, may be partially or fully recessed within the bottom of the reservoir wall, and is also defined in the base tangentially with respect to the bottom of the reservoir wall. The access port also has an outlet passageway defined within the base and extending in communication with the reservoir outlet and an external opening defined in the exterior of the base.

The access port also has body conduits defined within the body and in fluid communication with the reservoir outlets and external openings defined in the exterior of the body. An implantable access port and system for use in apheresis is also provided that includes an implantable access port, at least one needle, and a catheter that is fluidly connected to the access port.

    摘要： A serializer and a deserializer are disclosed and shown operating singly or as a pair. The invention operates independently from any outside system reference clock. The inventive system provides an internal bit clock that serializes the data when sending and de-serializes the data when receiving. A bit clock or pulse travels with the data word bits to define when a bit is stable. The system uses word boundary bits operating with a bit clock to distinguish different data words, as described in the parent application. The system operates either synchronously or asynchronously with the base computer or other such digital system, including I/O devices. The invention finds use where new data to be sent is strobed into the serializer, but also where a change in the data bit content itself will cause the changed data to be loaded into the serializer and sent bit by bit. The system operates where new data is strobed or loaded by the serializer (not the base computer system) when the last data word has been sent. In this case a signal is generated when the last word has been sent in the serializer that causes new data to be loaded for sending. Half duplex and full duplex configurations as disclosed. Similar, corresponding operations occur at the deserializer.

    摘要： Described are systems and methods for managing data traffic to a plurality of mobile devices over a wireless network. For each mobile device, a facility is provided that is capable of: (i) assigning a utility function to mathematically represent the value of a plurality of applications running on that mobile device with respect to a factor, (ii) aggregating the plurality of utility functions to generate an aggregated utility function corresponding to that mobile device, and (ii) communicating at least one of the associated aggregate utility function and a bid price based on the associated aggregate utility function over a network. A resource allocation is determined among a plurality of mobile devices based on a bidding process which accounts for the aggregate utility functions, and the data traffic between the mobile devices and the resource is managed using a network traffic shaping element according to the resource allocation.

    摘要： A programmable switch of three or more ports, each port having data lines separate from lines sharing control and addressing. The programmable switch includes internal logic control and electronic modules that accept and deserialize the control and address signals. The logic control directs the data in signals to one or more of the output data lines. Since the data and control and addressing lines are separate, the control may act concurrently with the data to direct the data properly. The sending unit must synchronize such operations to ensure data coherency and proper timing. The data signal path from any input to any or all outputs is designed to have, typically, only a single logic gate or on transistor switch delay.
