Abstract: [Problem]
To provide a conductive resin composition for electrodes which is excellent in dispersibility and oxidation resistance. To provide: an electrode composition employing the conductive resin composition for electrodes and having a low viscosity; an electrode employing the electrode composition and having a low electrode plate resistance; and a lithium ion battery having a high energy density, high output characteristics and a high cyclability.
[Solution]
A conductive resin composition for electrodes, comprising a dispersant, a conductive agent, and a binding material, wherein: the dispersant comprises a graft copolymer in which a monomer containing acrylonitrile as a main component is grafted onto polyvinyl alcohol; the average degree of polymerization of the polyvinyl alcohol is 300 to 3,000 and the degree of saponification of the same is 90 mol % to 100 mol %; and the polyvinyl alcohol content and the polyacrylonitrile content in the graft copolymer are, respectively, 10 mass % to 40 mass % and 90 mass % to 60 mass %.-

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a carbon black for batteries having excellent dispersibility, electron conductivity and oxidation resistance. In addition, an object of the present invention is to provide a low-viscosity conductive composition for an electrode produced using the carbon black, and a low-resistance battery electrode and a battery having excellent high-output characteristics and cycle characteristics produced using the conductive composition.A carbon black for batteries having: BET specific surface area of 50 to 220 m2/g; a crystallite diameter (La) of 30 to 42 Å; and a number of CO2 desorption molecules per unit surface area measured by a temperature-rising desorption gas analysis method (50° C. to 1200° C. of measurement temperature) of 8.0×1016 to 15.0×1016 molecules/m2 is excellent in dispersibility, electron conductivity and oxidation resistance. A conductive composition for a low-viscosity electrode produced using the carbon black, and a low-resistance battery electrode and a battery having excellent high-output characteristics and cycle characteristics produced using the conductive composition can be obtained.

Abstract: Provided is a conductive composition for electrodes, the conductive composition having excellent electrical conductivity and dispersibility. Also provided are: a positive electrode for non-aqueous batteries, the positive electrode using the conductive composition and having low electrode plate resistance and excellent binding properties; and a non-aqueous battery having high energy density, high output characteristics, and high cycle characteristics. The conductive composition for electrodes contains a conductive material, an active material, a binder, and a dispersant, wherein the conductive material contains carbon black and a multi-walled carbon nanotube having a powder resistivity of 0.035 Ω·cm or less as measured under a load of 9.8 MPa, and a median volumetric diameter D50 value, which is as a measure of dispersibility, in the range of 0.3-8 μm The positive electrode which is for non-aqueous batteries and has low electrode plate resistance and excellent binding properties; and the non-aqueous battery having high output characteristics and high cycle characteristics are obtained by using the conductive composition in which the content of the multi-walled carbon nanotube in the conductive material is 3-50 mass %.
