摘要: An application or an attachment device for attaching a medical device includes a base layer and an adhesive layer on a rearward side of the base layer. The adhesive layer is adapted to removably attach the base layer. The adhesive layer can be adapted to removably attach the base layer to a patient (either a human patient or a lower animal patient). The device also includes a medical device attachment mechanism on a forward side of the base layer, The attachment mechanism is adapted to attach the medical device to the base layer. The medical device can, for example, be a sensor. The medical device attachment mechanism can, for example, include a mechanical attachment mechanism. The medical device attachment mechanism can additionally or alternatively include at least one adhesive layer on the base layer. The adhesive layer can, for example, be positioned on the base layer so that it does not extend beyond a footprint of the medical device when the medical device is attached to the base layer.

摘要: A sensor device for detecting a change in the level of fluid within tissue of a body includes: a housing having a plurality of bridge segments, the bridge segments connecting at intersections and being arranged to circumscribe an opening defined by the housing; and a plurality of antenna elements at least partially seated within the housing at intersections of the bridge segments. Each of the plurality of antenna elements includes a generally planar antenna mounted to a substrate material at a base of the planar antenna. An outer surface of the planar antenna faces away from the substrate. Each of the plurality of antenna elements further includes an electrical shield surrounding the substrate. A sensor for detecting a change in the level of fluid within tissue of a body including a first antenna pair includes a first transmitting antenna and a first receiving antenna. The first transmitting antenna is spaced from and connected to the first receiving antenna by a first bridging segment. The sensor further includes at least a second antenna pair including a second transmitting antenna and a second receiving antenna. The second transmitting antenna is spaced from and connected to the second receiving antenna by a second bridging segment. The first antenna pair and the second antenna pair are placed in spaced connection by a first spacing segment and a second spacing segment so that an open area is defined by the first antenna pair, the second antenna pair, the first spacing segment and the second spacing segment.

摘要: A method and device are provided for providing sensory cues, signals, or indicators regarding the status of electrohydrodynamically spraying a material, including power-on status of an electrohydrodynamic spray device, active electrohydrodynamic spray status, and material status within the electrohydrodynamic spray device. In particular, audible, tactile, or intermittent visible signals indicate active electrohydrodynamic spraying, audible, tactile, or visible signals indicate power-on status of the electrohydrodynamic spray device, and sensory signals indicate the status of other operationally-related variables, including the rate of electrohydrodynamic spray, time increments, which may be correlated with electrohydrodynamic spray flowrates, and material supply levels.
