The machine can also be used to package insulation blanket in roll form.

    摘要: A control circuit and system is disclosed for providing emergency lighting from a single source of electrical power which itself is capable of providing input power alternately in the form of a sinusoidal power signal and a square wave power signal during interruption of the sinusoidal power signal. In the preferred form of the invention, a high intensity discharge lamp (HID) and an emergency lamp are provided in the same lighting fixture. A control circuit in the form of a power source detector first detects whether a sinusoidal power signal or a square wave signal is being supplied from a power station onto a pair of input lines. The power station automatically supplies the detector with input power in the form of a square wave rather than the normal sinusoidal power signal when an emergency condition exists such as normal power failure. The detector couples the input power to the HID lamp and the input power is sinusoidal in form and, alternatively, automatically couples the input power to the emergency lamp when the input power is in the form of a square wave.

    摘要: A testing device for electrically analyzing electrical failures in high pressure sodium lighting fixtures is disclosed. The testing device is inserted in the lighting fixture after the sodium lamp has been removed and contains three indicator lights. The user of the device compares the condition of the indicator lights with a chart on the label of the device to determine the type of failure. The circuit analyzer device will give distinct indications for a defective lamp, a defective circuit starter board, and a defective ballast and capacitor, thereby allowing the user of the device to make any necessary changes in order to return the lighting fixture to service. A pair of rectifier diodes are installed in a reverse direction so that the pulse to the lamp must be at least 2500 volts in order to break over the diodes PRV rating and to light the appropriate indicating lamps.

    摘要: An insulated flexible air duct comprises a flexible cylindrical core; a layer of fibrous insulation blanket surrounding the flexible core and comprising a strip of fibrous blanket helically wrapped about the flexible core with lateral portions of successive convolutions of the insulation strip overlapping so that the air duct can be flexed without forming a gap between the successive convolutions of the insulation strip; and a vapor barrier jacket comprising a strip of plastic jacket film helically wrapped about the layer of fibrous insulation. The insulated, flexible air duct is formed in one continuous operation. As the flexible core is formed it is rotated about its longitudinal axis. The rotating core is fed in an axial direction through an insulation wrapping station and a vapor barrier jacket wrapping station where the fibrous insulation strip is wrapped about the core and the vapor barrier strip is helically wrapped about the insulation to form the air duct.

    摘要: A sheathing board capable of transmitting water vapor while retaining good thermal conductivity properties. The board is formed of a core comprising rigid foamed plastic interspersed with spaced areas of water vapor permeable insulating material that extend from one major face of the core to the other. The major faces of the core are preferably faced with a water vapor permeable sheet, allowing water vapor to travel through the spaced areas of insulating material and the facing sheets. By aligning the spaced areas of material with the insulation in a wall cavity, the strength of the board and its thermal conductivity are maintained within acceptable limits.
