摘要: The present invention provides a system, method and computer program product for tracking the movement of a plurality of targets, wherein the detected movement is used for the modification of an interactive environment. The system comprises one or more imaging devices configured to capture two or more images of at least some of a plurality of target identifiers with one or more of a plurality of targets. The system further comprises a processing module which is operatively coupled to the one or more imaging devices, and configured to receive and process the two or more images. During the processing a first location parameter and a second location parameter for a predetermined region are determined. The one or more movement parameters are at least in part determined from the first and second location parameters and used for the modification of the interactive environment.

摘要: A system and method for automatically altering device functionality based on the occurrence of certain predetermined conditions. A link may be established between a device and a trusted server to provide an association between various conditions that may be detected at the device and actions that are to be taken on the device. In particular, software traps can be set up and linked to device functionality such that execution of the trap may automatically disable or enable certain device capabilities. Some aspects of the invention are directed to a system and method for remotely setting software traps for detecting software viruses and, upon execution of the traps, several methods for establishing a quarantine on infected devices.

摘要: A method for scanning a media sheet with a scanning apparatus includes feeding the media sheet through the first set of rollers into a scanning area, such that a first portion of the media sheet is available for scanning. A first partial media sheet image of the first portion is scanned. The media sheet is fed into the second set of rollers, then out of the first set of rollers, such that a second portion of the media sheet is available for scanning. A second partial media sheet image of the second portion of the media sheet is scanned. At least the first partial media sheet image is combined with the second partial media sheet image to generate a full image of the media sheet. In a further embodiment, the number of partial scans may be increased as necessary to provide a complete image of the scanned object, e.g., the media sheet. For example, one or more intermediate scans may be performed in accordance with the present invention in addition to the scans occurring at the ends of media sheet. In another embodiment, multiple image sheets may be sequentially scanned forming a plurality of first and second partial media sheet images that are stitched together to form a panoramic image.

摘要: A multi-function device and a method of operation are described, wherein the multi-function device includes a scanner, a printer, and a controller. The controller is operable to communicate with the scanner, the printer, and a second device, operable to convert scanned image data to electronic data in the printer format, and operable to convert scanned image data to electronic data in a standard format readable by the second device. The controller is also responsive to a user control communicating with the controller for implementing a copy and scan mode, wherein while in the copy and scan mode, the scanner performs a single scanning operation for each page of a desired original to produce scanned image data representing the desired original. The controller converts the scanned image data to electronic data in a printer format and to electronic data in a standard format, and transmits the printer formatted electronic data to the printer and the standard formatted electronic data to the second device. The printer prints a hard copy of each page of the desired original.
