摘要: The present invention provides a system, method and computer program product for tracking the movement of a plurality of targets, wherein the detected movement is used for the modification of an interactive environment. The system comprises one or more imaging devices configured to capture two or more images of at least some of a plurality of target identifiers with one or more of a plurality of targets. The system further comprises a processing module which is operatively coupled to the one or more imaging devices, and configured to receive and process the two or more images. During the processing a first location parameter and a second location parameter for a predetermined region are determined. The one or more movement parameters are at least in part determined from the first and second location parameters and used for the modification of the interactive environment.

摘要: In laner apparatus for automatically arranging articles into lanes on a conveyor, for example for packaging or further processing, the articles are fed onto a conveyor upstream of a fence that extends at an acute angle to the direction of travel of the conveyor. The fence has gateways at intervals along its length and gates that control passage of the articles through the gateways and into lanes downstream of the fence. These downstream lanes may feed the articles onto slides for packaging or further processing. Articles that do not pass through a gateway move to the downstream end of the fence by the reaction forces resulting from motion of the conveyor and the angle of the fence. A control unit reads signals from sensors which are placed downstream of the fence, and preferably downstream of the laner apparatus, to determine whether each downstream lane is full and sends signals to selectively open and close the gates.

摘要: An apparatus for optimization of a simulated three-dimensional effect for film or video when constancy of the effect is desired. The apparatus comprises at least one arcuate support rail. A trolley is affixed movably to the support rail. A remotely controlled variable speed motor is affixed to the trolley for moving the trolley along the support rail. A camera mounting is affixed to the trolley and movable horizontally and vertically with respect to the trolley so that a camera is moved at a constant angular velocity relative to a scene to be filmed or recorded. The angular velocity is defined as linear circumferential speed at a specific and constant radius from the scene, the angular velocity being between 25 degrees per second and 65 degrees per second.

摘要: A method for reducing ammonia and other gases from the detonation of explosives. A method in accordance with the invention comprises placing an ion exchange agent such as a natural occurring zeolite mineral like clinoptilolite around the blast area, over the top of the blast area, under the area receiving the blasted material, within the blast holes or chambers holding the explosives, in the water covering the blast area, over the top of the blasted material, mixed in the explosives and the like. The ammonia and various other gases exchange into the lattice of the ion exchange agent where they become insoluble. This creates a healthier work environment for workers and reduces environmental pollution.

摘要: A method at power steering hose assembly design and analysis for a power steering system in a vehicle includes the steps of selecting a mesh model of a design for a power steering system having a power steering hose assembly, selecting a predetermined characteristic of the power steering system for a predetermined operating condition, performing an acoustic analysis on the mesh mocel using the predetermined characteristic and determining an acoustic response cf the power steering hose assembly from the acoustic analysis. The method further includes the steps of determining a noise transmission loss across the power steering hose assembly using the acoustic response, determining whether the transmission loss meets a predetermined noise criteria and modifying a design parameter for the power steering system if the transmission loss does not meet a predetermine noise criteria.

摘要: Improved methods for 3-D motion picture, video or video game images with a one camera system. When a scene is photographed using this system to create 3-D, the scene must be lit so that the midground light intensity is approximately 50% greater than the intensity on the foreground and the background light intensity is approximately double that of the foreground with some subjects in the scene being backlit as well. The scene is photographed by a movable video or motion picture camera moving about the scene at a constant angular velocity in the range of 25-60 degrees per second. Additional cameras photograph the scene from fixed locations spaced approximately 120 degrees apart about the scene. When editing the 3-D film or video tape a method is used to alleviate dizziness by inserting approximately 5-40 seconds of the flat shots from said fixed locations between segments of 3-25 seconds of film or video shot by said moving camera and providing viewing glasses having lenses, one of metallized (mirrored) plastic film creating a silvered effect, void of spectral peaks and of color absorption across all wavelengths, and which gives the lens a neutral density in the range of 0.5 to 2.0; and one lens formed of clear film which provides 100% light transmission when viewing through it.

摘要: Disclosed is a solar electric power system that utilizes multiple reflectors to concentrate sun light onto a panel of photovoltaic (PV) cells. The power system, consisting of multiple reflectors, mounted PV cells, and a heat dissipation component, is mounted on a tracker that keeps the system directed to the sun. A noteworthy feature of this system is its designed-in capability of being retrofitted with advanced reflectors, PV components, and heat dissipation components during the system's multi-year operating life. The common axes design feature of the system allows for low cost materials and manufacturing concepts. The system can operate on either a single or a dual axis tracker with active or passive cooling.
