摘要: Maintaining information about radio transmission sites in a computer accessible database. In one aspect this is a living database consisting of hundreds of thousands of wireless sites and their unique characteristics. The database includes energy transmissions information including site specific physical locations and utilization characteristics of the sites. The System can deliver MPE maps of radio frequency radiation and site specific safety programs to any worker visiting a wireless site in the United States. These maps (and site's specific safety programs) are updated on a daily basis. The System can be accessed via the Internet by registered users. The System creates and displays MPE maps and radiation pattern maps showing gradation power densities to identify exposure dangers.

摘要: A cache coherency protocol for a multi-processor system which provides for read/write, read-only and transitional data states and for an indication of these states to be stored in a memory directory in main memory. The transitional data state occurs when a processor requests from main memory a data block in another processor's cache and the request is pending completion. All subsequent read requests for the data block during the pendency of the first request are inhibited until completion of the first request. Also provided in the memory directory for each data block is a field for identifying the processor which owns the data block in question. Data block ownership information is used to determine where requested owned data is located.

摘要: A winding device including a spindle and an inner cylinder is provided, the inner cylinder is positioned at least partially in a first opening of the spindle extending along an axial direction and is rotatable between a first position and a second position relative to the spindle. The winding device additionally includes an engagement bolt positioned in a second opening of the spindle extending along a radial direction and mechanically engaged with the inner cylinder. Rotation of the inner cylinder between the first position and the second position automatically extends or retracts the engagement bolt along the radial direction. When the engagement bolt is extended, the winding device is in an engaged position and configured to rotate a collar of a strap winch, and when the engagement bolt is retracted, the winding device is in a disengaged position and configured to be removed from or inserted into the collar of the strap winch.

摘要: A solar collector assembly includes a photovoltaic panel having first and second sides, a frame, and a first gas-filled chamber on the first side of the photovoltaic panel. The first gas-filled chamber is at least partially defined by a portion of the frame and by a portion of the first side of the photovoltaic panel. A gas functions as a heat exchange fluid and collects heat from solar energy and/or heat generated by the photovoltaic panel. The photovoltaic panel accumulates and converts solar energy to electrical energy. The solar collector assembly may include a second gas-filled chamber provided on the second side of the photovoltaic panel. The second gas-filled chamber is at least partially defined by a portion of the frame and by a portion of the second side of the photovoltaic panel. Solar collector systems and methods of generating electrical energy and/or thermal energy are also described.

摘要: A process of pre-applying a vapor, water and ice layer to a sheathing panel before the sheathing panel is assembled onto rafters of a roof is disclosed, comprising the steps of positioning a face of the sheathing panel for accessibility, removing a plastic film from the vapor, water and ice layer, thereby exposing an adhesive surface of the vapor, water and ice layer, joining the adhesive surface of the vapor, and water and ice layer to the face of the sheathing panel to form an assembly, thereafter, transporting the assembly to the roof, and securing the assembly to the rafters of the roof. An article of manufacture for reducing water and ice damage caused by an ice dam on a roof is disclosed, wherein the article of manufacture is pre-assembled prior to assembly to rafters of the roof, comprising a sheathing panel for assembling on the rafters of the roof having a first face and a second face, a vapor, water and ice layer having a first side and a second side, the second side having a plastic film covering an adhesive backing, means for removing the plastic film to expose the adhesive backing and means for assembling the vapor, water and ice layer to the sheathing panel, wherein the second side of the vapor, water and ice layer having the adhesive backing is placed onto the first face of sheathing panel before assembly of the sheathing panel to the rafters of the roof.

摘要: A panel connecting device consists of a first member having a base, at least two successive extending elements extending from the base, each of the elements having a thinner portion near the base and a thicker portion at the end of the element. In between the thinner portion and the thicker portion may be an flange portion which gradually widens in the direction of the thicker portion. Thus, a cavity is formed between adjacent extending elements. The cavity is dimensioned to receive an element the size of the extending elements. The panel connecting device also consists of a second member that is substantially similar to the first member. The second member interacts with the first member such that a connection is formed by sliding at least one of the extending elements of the first member into at least one of the cavities between the extending elements of the second member and reciprocally sliding at least one of the extending elements of the second member into at least one of the cavities between the extending elements of the first member. The connection is maintained by mating the thicker portion of the extending elements of the first member with the thinner portion of the extending elements of the second member and mating the thicker portion of the extending elements of the second member with the thinner portion of the extending elements of the first member. The panel connecting device forms a reusable joint to support an external load of panel-type material.
