    摘要: A transmission or actuator offering one or more rotational outputs proportionate in speed and direction to that of a common rotational input, each with its own ratio coupled with a controllable dynamic slip/compliance element and optionally either of a one-way bearing or brake preventing back driving. Ratios are continuously variable between positive and negative values, including infinity, varied by mechanical or electromechanical actuators under external or computer control. The transmission may intrinsically integrate multiple partial transmissions for increasing torque capability, rapidly changing between alternate settings, and/or to drive multiple outputs with customizable design. A communicating system of such distributed transmissions forming a hierarchy or network, each transmission driven directly by a motor, indirectly by the output of another transmission, or both, including indirect cumulative forward and back driving throughout the hierarchy or network. Such a network of actuators for complex robotic, manufacturing, movement, or transport applications.

    摘要: Maintaining information about radio transmission sites in a computer accessible database. In one aspect this is a living database consisting of hundreds of thousands of wireless sites and their unique characteristics. The database includes energy transmissions information including site specific physical locations and utilization characteristics of the sites. The System can deliver MPE maps of radio frequency radiation and site specific safety programs to any worker visiting a wireless site in the United States. These maps (and site's specific safety programs) are updated on a daily basis. The System can be accessed via the Internet by registered users. The System creates and displays MPE maps and radiation pattern maps showing gradation power densities to identify exposure dangers.

    摘要: A magnetic field device and method for inhibiting angiogenesis and retarding growth rates of cancerous tumors present in mammals. The apparatus includes a frame, and a wire consisting of electrically conducting material. The wire is wrapped around the frame to form a coil. A source of AC current is connected to a transformer to vary the AC voltage. The AC current is passed through a bridge rectifier and then to the coil of wire enabling a DC rectified wave magnetic field to be produced therefrom. The method employs the use of an apparatus which is capable of producing a magnetic field of a particular nature which has been proven in animal studies to affect angiogenesis and retard the growth rate of cancerous tumors.

    摘要: A cache coherency protocol for a multi-processor system which provides for read/write, read-only and transitional data states and for an indication of these states to be stored in a memory directory in main memory. The transitional data state occurs when a processor requests from main memory a data block in another processor's cache and the request is pending completion. All subsequent read requests for the data block during the pendency of the first request are inhibited until completion of the first request. Also provided in the memory directory for each data block is a field for identifying the processor which owns the data block in question. Data block ownership information is used to determine where requested owned data is located.

    摘要: A device, system, and method related to operator guided inspection is disclosed. A portable inspection device (“PID”) is comprised of a housing, display, camera, light array, gyro, location sensor, a non-transitory computer-readable medium, a processor, and a computer-executable instruction set stored on the non-transitory computer-readable medium. The method is comprised of the steps of selecting an inspection task using the PID; capturing an image of the DUT; providing a reference image with reference dimensions; fixing the focal distance on the camera; providing a region of interest (“ROI”) and an alignment region (“AR”) on the display of the PID; adjusting the lighting of the PID to match the illumination on the DUT with the illumination in the reference image; adjusting the distance between the PID and the DUT such that the DUT fits in the ROI; rotating the PID until the ROI and AR merge into a Merged Region; calibrating the Merged Region with the reference image by scaling the pixel-level distances of the Merged Region with the reference dimensions of the reference image; and performing an automated inspection routine on one or more special characteristics of the DUT. The operator guided inspection system (“OGIS”) includes a plurality of PIDs capable of measuring a plurality of DUTs.
