摘要: Rigid polyurethane foams are made using a mixture of polyols that includes 4 to 33% by weight of triisopropanolamine. The mixture of polyols is reacted with an aromatic polyisocyanate in the presence of a blowing agent, a foam-stabilizing surfactant and a urethane catalyst to produce the foam. The foams are useful as thermal insulation layers in multilayer thermal insulation assemblies such as appliance cabinets and walls for industrial and commercial freezers and refrigerators.

摘要: Rigid polyurethanes and composites are made from a reaction mixture containing an aromatic polyisocyanate and a mixture of polyols. The mixture of polyols has an average hydroxyl equivalent weight of 125 to 275 and an average hydroxyl funtionality of 2.5 to 4 hydroxyl groups per molecule. 5 to 33% of the weight of the mixture of polyols is triisopropanolamine. Rigid polyurethanes made from such a reaction mixture have excellent dimensional stability, even when cured at or near room temperature.
