The branched olefinic fluid has an average of at least 1.5 methine carbons per oligomer molecule and at least 40 methine carbons per one thousand total carbons. Additionally, the average number of carbons per molecule in the branched olefinic fluid is from 25 to 200.

摘要: A hot melt adhesive composition includes (A) 10-95 wt % of a random or homogeneous propylene-based interpolymer having: (i) a comonomer content of at least one of C2 and C4-10 a-olefin of 7 wt % to 49 wt % based on the total weight of the propylene-based interpolymer, (ii) an MWD of 4 or less, (iii) a density of 0.90 g/cc or less, and (iv) a Brookfield viscosity of less than 50,000 centipoise, (B) 1-60 wt % of a crystalline block composite comprising: (1) a crystalline ethylene based polymer; (2) a crystalline alpha-olefin based polymer derived from at least one of a C3-10 a-olefin; and (3) a block copolymer comprising 10-90 wt % of a crystalline ethylene block comprising greater than 90 mol % units derived from ethylene and comprising 10-90 wt % of a crystalline alpha-olefin block comprising greater than 90 mol % units derived from at least one of a C3-10 a-olefin, (C) Optionally, from greater than zero to 70 wt % tackifier, and (D) Optionally, from greater than zero to 40 wt % of at least one selected from the group of a wax and an oil.

摘要: An apparatus to batch or continuously form solid polymer particles, the apparatus comprising the following components: A) at least one pastillation unit comprising a pastillation head, said unit used to form discrete molten polymer particles from a polymer melt; B) a moving belt to receive and transfer the discrete molten polymer particles from the pastillation head; C) a means to transfer water onto the moving belt, such that the water comes into contact with the discrete molten polymer particles on the moving belt to form the solid polymer particles; and wherein the water of component C is sprayed onto the discrete molten polymer particles, such that the ratio of “the rate of water spray” to “the discharge rate” is ≥3.0; and wherein the belt residence time is ≤50 seconds.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a composition. In an embodiment an adhesive composition is provided and includes (A) a propylene-based interpolymer having a density from 0.850 g/cc to 0.900 g/cc; (B) an ethylene-based polymer composition having a melt viscosity at 140° C. from 10 mPa*s to 1,000 mPa*s; and (C) a tackifier. The composition has a molecular weight distribution ratio from 1.00 to 1.40, wherein the molecular weight distribution ratio is the molecular weight distribution of the propylene-based interpolymer of component (A) compared to the molecular weight distribution of the ethylene-based polymer composition of component (B). The composition has a density ratio from 0.93 to 1.30, wherein the density ratio is the density of the propylene-based interpolymer of component (A) compared to the density of the ethylene-based polymer composition of component (B).
