Abstract:
A charging cable theft warning system includes a charging cable, a connector coupled to the charging cable, an ECU, at least one sensor configured to detect tampering with the charging cable, and an alert system configured to provide an alert corresponding to the at least one sensor detecting a tampering. A sensor may include a quick-disconnect coupling and/or may be configured to monitor an electrical characteristic of the system. A sensor may, additionally or alternatively, include one or more of a holster, a signal transceiver, and a communication device. The alert may include an audible alert, a visual alert, and/or a signal transmitted to a remote location. The system may also include a camera.
Abstract:
A connector is for a charging station. The charging station has a charging box having a signaling mechanism. The connector includes an electrical receptacle structured to be electrically connected to the signaling mechanism; a housing coupled to the electrical receptacle; an indicating assembly coupled to the housing; and an interface between the indicating assembly and the signaling mechanism in order to energize the indicating assembly and provide an indication of charging status.
Abstract:
A system for diagnosing circuit protection device field issues includes a remote computer system and a diagnostic circuit protection device installed at a customer location, wherein the circuit protection device includes a processor configured to execute a number of routines, a plurality of sensors structured to sense power circuit information, a memory accessible by the processor, and a communications module coupled to the non-volatile memory. The routines are structured to input sensed power circuit information and determine trip information for one or more trip cycles and cause the stored power circuit information and trip information to be transmitted to the remote computer system by the communications module over a network for storage and subsequent access for diagnostic purposes.

Abstract:
An electric power distribution system is used with an electric power source. The electric power distribution system includes a first device exchanging first electric power with the electric power source. The first device exchanges the first electric power with a plurality of second devices and meters first electric energy corresponding to the first electric power. The second devices exchange the first electric power with the first device. Each of the second devices exchanges second electric power as at least part of the first electric power with a number of corresponding electric loads and meter second electric energy corresponding to the second electric power. A processor includes a routine that compares the metered first electric energy from the first device with a sum of the metered second electric energy from each of the second devices, and responsively determines proper or improper operation of the electric power distribution system.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a housing defining an exterior shape of the electronic device, a processor, a power supply structured to receive line power and to convert the line power for use by the electronic device, a storage unit structured to store data, and a number of data interfaces structured to receive a data connection. The electronic device has a particular form factor that is compatible with positions in a circuit breaker receiving area of a load center. The electronic device is structured to provide the functionality of at least one of a set-top box, a network data interface, a telephone base station, a security system hub and a home controller.
