The power controller comprises: a signal to interference ratio, SIR, determiner arranged to determine a maximum SIR target for each of the at least one user equipment, which maximum SIR target is arranged to limit maximum transmission power of the at least one user equipment; wherein the determiner determines a maximum SIR target for each of the at least one user equipment directly or indirectly based on the number of user equipments in the cell of each respective user equipment. A corresponding method, computer program and computer program product are also presented.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method, a communication system and a Node-B (NB) in a communication system for distribution of downlink E-DCH power usage in a communication system. The system comprises at least one Node-B (NB) for enabling wireless communication with at least one user terminal (UE). The communication is enabled via an enhanced dedicated transport channel (E-DCH) and one high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) for uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) data traffic between the user terminal (UE) and the Node-B (NB). The Node-B (NB) comprises a HSDPA scheduler (HS-S) for scheduling the data rate for the DL data traffic via the HS-DSCH. It further comprises an EUL scheduler (EUL-S) for scheduling the maximum data rate for the UL data traffic via the E-DCH. The method is particularly characterized in that the Node-B (NB) estimates 111 the power consumption and/or the corresponding transmision time for at least one forthcoming E-DCH DL transmission on at least one E-DCH physical channel. The Node-B (NB) sends 112 the estimated power consumption and/or the corresponding transmission time information to the HSDPA scheduler (HS-S) prior to the E-DCH DL transmission.

    摘要: A method for power control in an enhanced uplink telecommunication system is disclosed. The power for an uplink DPCCH in a first E-DCH is controlled by a base station. The base station and a user calculate power for an E-DPDCH in the first E-DCH based on a power offset configuration and absolute grant provided by the base station. The user terminal transmits the uplink data traffic on the first E-DCH with the controlled DPCCH power and the calculated E-DPDCH power. When the base station and the user terminal detect that the E-DPDCH absolute grant is different from a grant threshold, the base station changes a SIR target value. The first base station and the first user terminal compensate the change by recalculating the E-DPDCH power, reflecting both the changed DPCCH power resulting from the changed SIR target value and the improvement due to optimized channel estimation.

The system comprises at least one first radio network controller (RNC) and at least one first and one second base station enabling wireless communication with at least one first user terminal. The first and the second base stations receive at least a first transport block (TB), the first TB being transmitted by the user terminal over an established communication channel. If the received first TB includes at least one error, the base station that found the error controls the number of decoding attempts for the first TB. If the first TB is a discontinuous transmission frame (DTX), the base station resets a decoding attempt counter and prepares the first and second base stations for a new, second TB.
