摘要: A vehicle door latch assembly is disclosed herein, the vehicle door latch assembly having: a fork bolt movably secured to the latch assembly, the fork bolt being capable of movement between a latched position and an unlatched position; a detent lever movably secured to the latch assembly, the detent lever being capable of movement between an engaged position and a disengaged position, the detent lever retains the fork bolt in the latched position when the detent lever is in the engaged position and a engagement surface of the detent lever contacts an engagement surface of the fork bolt; and an actuator for moving the detent lever into the disengaged position from the engaged position, the actuator being configured to prevent the detent lever from moving back to the engaged position until the fork bolt has been moved to the unlatched position.

摘要: A latch assembly is provided, the latch assembly having a fork bolt movably secured thereto for movement between a latched position and an unlatched position. A detent lever is also provided. The detent lever is capable of movement between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein the detent lever retains the fork bolt in the latched position when the detent lever is in the engaged position. The detent lever has a stop member and a guide member each protruding away from a surface of the detent lever and the stop member is in a spaced relationship with respect to the guide member. The latch assembly also includes an actuator for moving the detent lever from the engaged position to the disengaged position by contacting the guide member while the stop member is positioned so that the actuator will contact the stop member and prevent further movement of the actuator when the fork bolt is in the unlatched position and the detent lever is in the disengaged position.

摘要: A latch having: a claw configured to rotate between an unlatched position and a latched position; a pawl configured for movement between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein the pawl retains the claw in the latched position when the pawl is in the engaged position and wherein the pawl releases the claw when it is in a disengaged position and the claw is free to move from the latched position to the unlatched position; a bumper located on the pawl to dampen noises as the pawl is moved by a portion of the claw; and wherein the detent lever is pivotally mounted to a frame of the latch proximate to a corner of an opening of the latch.

摘要: In one non-limiting embodiment, a latch system for a door of a vehicle is provided. The latch system includes a latch assembly, an accelerometer configured to measure acceleration of the vehicle, and a controller communicatively coupled to the accelerometer. The controller is configured to control an operation of the latch assembly. The controller prevents transition of the latch assembly to a disengaged position when the measured acceleration exceeds a predetermined threshold to facilitate preventing the door from opening.
