摘要: A skirt for an implantable prosthetic device can include an annular fabric matrix radially expandable from a radially compressed configuration to a first diameter upon application of a radially outwardly directed force via the implantable prosthetic device, and a plurality of frangible restriction filaments embedded in the fabric matrix. Each restriction filament can have a selected maximum diameter different from that of at least one of the other restriction filaments, and each restriction filament can break when a radially outwardly directed force applied to the restriction filament exceeds a predetermined threshold.

摘要: An implantable prosthetic device can include a radially expandable and compressible frame including an inflow end portion and an outflow end portion. The frame can include an expansion and locking mechanism comprising a member having a first set of lateral extensions disposed adjacent an outflow end and a second set of lateral extensions axially spaced from the first set, each lateral extension comprising a bore extending into the lateral extension. The frame can further comprise a commissure attachment member having a first set of arms each extending into a respective inner bore of the first set of lateral extensions and a second set of arms each extending into a respective inner bore of the second set of lateral extensions such that the commissure attachment member is restrained from movement relative to the expansion and locking mechanism in the radial and axial directions.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve has a radially expandable and collapsible annular frame, the frame having an inflow end and an outflow end and defining a longitudinal axis along a lumen of the prosthetic heart valve when it is in the expanded configuration. A leaflet structure is positioned within the frame and secured thereto. The prosthetic heart valve also has a laminate sealing member including a plurality of layers heat-bonded together to encapsulate at least a portion of the frame. The laminate sealing member extends along the longitudinal axis in an upstream direction and doubles back toward the outflow end of the frame at a fold line to form a cuff, and an edge portion of the laminate sealing member is secured to a main portion of the laminate sealing member downstream of the fold line such that the cuff forms an inflow end of the laminate sealing member.

摘要: A method of assembling a prosthetic heart valve comprises securing a suture loop having at least first and second windings to an outflow edge portion of an inner skirt. The first and second windings are arranged in a repeating pattern of figure-eight shape curves and each winding has a plurality of first sections attached to the outflow edge portion of the inner skirt and a plurality of second sections unattached to the inner skirt. The inner skirt is placed inside of an annular frame and the second sections of the first and second windings are placed over apices of an outflow end of the frame such that the second sections of the first and second windings reside outside of the frame. The second sections of the windings are inserted inwardly through openings in the frame and attached to selected locations on the inner skirt.

摘要: Embodiments of prosthetic valves for implantation within a native mitral valve are provided. A prosthetic valve may comprise a radially compressible main body and a one-way valve portion. The prosthetic valve may further comprise one or more ventricular anchors coupled to the main body and disposed outside of the main body. The ventricular anchors may be configured such that a reduced profile of the prosthetic valve is possible. A space may be provided between an outer surface of the main body and the ventricular anchors for receiving native mitral valve leaflets. The prosthetic valve may include an atrial sealing member adapted for placement above the annulus of the mitral valve. Methods and devices for receiving the native mitral valve leaflets between the ventricular anchors and the main body are described.
