    摘要: To provide a piezoelectric sensor that never sacrifices work properties such as when a lead wire is to be soldered to one of a pair of electrodes of a piezoelectric sensor, and the other electrode is to be bonded and fixed to a predetermined member with an adhesive, and to bond the ground electrode of the piezoelectric sensor to the conductive portion of the object member with an adhesive so as to be fixed and connected electrically, thereby preventing a short-circuit that might occur between the two electrodes due to extruded and stuck adhesive, and to provide an easier method for testing whether or not the ground electrode is connected electrically to the conductive portion of the object member. A piezoelectric sensor has two electrodes that are formed with different materials appropriate for soldering and bonding by an adhesive. The ground electrode of the piezoelectric sensor is bonded to the object member with a non-conductive adhesive so as to be connected electrically. Furthermore, the capacity between the output electrode of the piezoelectric sensor and the object member is measured to check the electrical connection between the ground electrode and the object member.

    摘要: A stator magnet according to a first embodiment of the present invention forms a voice coil motor with a closed coil. The closed coil is supported by an actuator arm in a rotatable manner and at a predetermined rotation angle. The closed coil has first and second side edges that extend along different lines in radial directions whose center is a center of rotation of the actuator arm. It also has an outer edge that connects edges of outer sides of the first and second side edges with viewed from the radial direction, and extends along an arc whose center is the center of rotation. A first magnetic pole region is located within a moving area of the first side edge to act on the first side edge. A second magnetic pole region is located within a moving area of the second side edge to act on the second side edge. The polarity of the second magnetic pole region is opposite to the polarity of the first magnetic pole region. A third magnetic pole region is located within a moving area of the outer edge to act on the outer edge. The polarity of the third magnetic pole region is the same as the polarity of the first magnetic pole region.

    摘要: An active control mechanism and method for stabilizing a servo-controlled actuator system such as an actuator system in a data recording disk drive by compensating the vibrational modes of the actuator's arm assembly. The control mechanism has a sensing arrangement which can include one or more individual sensors attached to the actuator at locations where they generate signals in phase with the vibrational modes, and especially with all the low-frequency major vibrational modes, of the arm assembly. A control mechanism derives from the signals an adjustment signal consisting of three corrective terms—a stiffening correction, an active damping correction, and an inertia correction by a phase correction. Furthermore, high-frequency out-of-phase modes can be stabilized by appropriately shifting the phase of the signals. The adjustment signal is used in the feedback control loop to stabilize the actuator system.

    摘要: The present invention provides a crash stop which is capable of adjusting shock absorptivity by employing the same elastic material and where the mounting and demounting operations are easy. A metal pin has a recess in its intermediate portion. An elastic body has three blade portions. In a crash stop, the metal pin is press fitted into the pin inserting hole of the elastic body, and the portion between the support portion and the knob portion of the metal pin is covered with the elastic body. In the boundary between the intermediate portion of the metal pin and the elastic body, a cavity is formed. The support portion is fitted into the crash stop support hole of the base so that it can be freely pulled out and inserted. At this time, the upper end of the blade portion contacts the inner side surface of the crash stop inserting hole of the upper yoke and is contracted, and by the frictional force generated between the crash stop inserting hole and the upper end of the blade portion, the crash stop is locked. The abutting shock of the stopper arm of an actuator is absorbed with cooperation of the elastic body and the cavity.

A tab is formed centrally of a front end of a load beam and is bent in U shape. Flanges are formed along both longitudinal edges of the load beam. An aperture is formed in a front portion of the load beam. The aperture permits the tab to be machined in a desired shape. An aperture is formed behind the aperture. The apertures are not formed in an integrally contiguous manner but are separated from each other by a bridge portion.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention position accurately an actuator head suspension assembly (AHSA) relative to a magnetic disk without using any positioning jig, as achieved through a simple structure and involving no increase in manufacturing, and to prevent the AHSA from being charge. In one embodiment, a conductive AHSA includes a pivot opening formed to provide a step at an adjoining portion of two holes having different hole diameters from each other. A pivot bearing assembly includes a first conductive roller bearing and a second conductive roller bearing. The first and the second roller bearings include outer races and inner races with balls interposed between the outer races and the inner races. The first and the second roller bearings are disposed in tandem to achieve the following arrangements. Specifically, the outer race of the second roller bearing fits into a hole having a larger hole diameter in the pivot opening, while the outer race of the first roller bearing fits into hole having a smaller hole diameter in the pivot opening. There is interposed a conductive spacer between the first and the second roller bearings. The spacer abuts on the step in the pivot opening. A conductive pivot shaft is inserted in each of the inner races of the first and the second roller bearings disposed in tandem in the pivot opening.
